Princeton may be a slightly better school than Penn, but an MFA is a worthless degree no matter where you got it. An MBA from even a shitty program is more respected.
No, we agree completely. I said that because Wharton, as much as this former McIntire kid hates to admit it, is the top undergrad business program in the country.
I went to a very selective undergrad and will be at a top 5 law school next year, but I don’t feel the need to harp on about it like a douche (this comment notwithstanding), because I’m secure in my knowledge that I’m better than other people without having to constantly remind them.
McIntire’s been ranked higher than Wharton pretty consistently in recent years. In unrelated news, interesting how so many of TFM’s members are (suddenly and out of nowhere) ivy-league experts, alums, and legacies.
^ Forbes ranks Northwestern ahead of Yale and and De Pauw ahead of Penn. Does that mean that they’re valid rankings? Not at all.
In terms of job availability and placement, no other business school at the undergrad level comes anywhere near Wharton, and the only other schools at all that come close are Harvard, Princeton, and Dartmouth.
Harvard, Princeton and Northwestern don’t have undergrad business programs, champ. Are you talking about their economics programs? Because Harvard’s is by far the best.
^ First of all, Princeton has ORFE and Northwestern has Kellogg.
Second of all, the Northwestern and DePauw point was meant to indicate that rankings are BS.
Finally, read the dependent clause. I specifically stated that Wharton, Harvard, Princeton, and Dartmouth do the best for *placement* into top banks. And last time I checked, you don’t need to major in finance to work for an investment bank.
^ “In terms of job availability and placement, no other business school at the undergrad level comes anywhere near Wharton, and the only other schools at all that come close are Harvard, Princeton, and Dartmouth.”
That’s what you said, man. Not my fault if you can’t write properly. Also, Kellogg doesn’t have an undergrad degree.
Well done ladies, good shit. Minus the friend blessed with a natural camouflage on the right. A little affirmative action goes a long way for getting into the Ivy League.
Yankees always try way to hard to be racist… It’s funny too, because any real southerner would just blatantly say the “N” word, but they try to have a euphemistic approach cause they’re all pussies.
1. Do you not realize the irony of calling it the “n word”
2. Too*
3. Word filters, new blood
4. I will murder your sister, wear her skin as a condom, and skullfuck you.
If Princeton is the dumpster of the Ivy League, then I don’t even want to know what my major conference state school is. Probably the dead guy with AIDS inside the dumpster.
actually, this is an incorrect view. if we judge traditional measures such as academics and tradition, princeton is up there. the only knock is no law, business, or medical school which invariably means most tigers move on to somewhere else if they’re smart for post gradudate studies. and beleive me, most grad schools are smart enough to accept them.
If you go to Princeton, odds are you are smart enough and have the connections to do whatever you want in life. Also, fuck Brown those liberal hipster queer-o’s
^^^^someone’s retarded and doesn’t realize that Wharton is Penn’s business school…also Dartmouth is conservative as fuck and doesn’t deserve to be in the same tier as the liberal ***hole Columbia
The lack of graduate programs is a blessing for Princeton undergrads though. The best professors are usually reserved for grad-students at most prestigious universities, but Princeton attracts the best and the brightest and undergrads still have access to them.
Remind me why Princeton eating clubs are prestigious again? It’s easy as fuck to get into one. A ton of them are also filled with geeds, like Tower for instance.
