The last edition of ISFPD was a big deal. Despite multiple setbacks and hiatuses, Ideal Songs For Porch Drinking’s Spotify playlist eclipsed the 500 song mark and is now officially longer than the guitar solo in “Hotel California.” I’d like to thank you all for listening and allowing me to build a playlist that only gets shit on a little bit. You’re mostly awesome and, if you’re not, I couldn’t give a fat baby’s dick.

This week’s list is a cultural mish-mash of heretofore unseen proportions. Staples of the dance floor like “Before I Let Go” colliding with the likes of The Flying Burrito Brothers in a panoply of musical synergy that will make you stand up and shout. Chance stops by for a quick visit with Tity Boi and Tunechi to talk denim with ZZ Top. Rick James keeps running off to help Steve Miller “check on the pudding” while Speedwagon proves that they can still slap without being sappy.
