Dip shit, I’ve had plenty of them try guilt tripping me for the shit I do, and I’ve had plenty of them tell me that I’ll go to some “prison” when I die if I don’t get baptized into their church. One missionary even told me that his alcoholic WWII veteran grandfather was not going to receive eternal happiness because of the way he lived. I’ve heard them tell me that God lives near a star called “Kolob.” I’m pretty sure I have an idea of what I’m talking about.

I’m not a Mormon, but I can say while their religion may seem bizarre or cultish to some, every Mormon I’ve met have been honest people that I would have no problem placing my trust in. Now does that mean they’re all like that, no. Just like for any other person, they’re are good and bad individuals of all faiths. Judging people based on something like religion, rather than their own merit and character is moronic, plain and simple.

“monumentavenue,” fuck off troll. Yes, most Mormons I’ve met have been very successful, welcoming individuals. I’m not attacking their personal faith, if anything, I’m addressing the pious, religion spewing fucks who think they’re the chosen ones just because they don’t do what everyone else does. From what I know of Mitt Romney, he’s a cocky fuck, and the only people I’ve seen supporting him so far are Mormons, and that’s only because he is one of them. It’s a bandwagon.

14 years ago at 3:01 pm
    5. Well I’ve been hearing it for 21 years and counting, say what you want but Mormons are some of the kindest, generous and most conservative people out there. You want to tell me what you have an idea of? Tell me what one crazy missionary told you one day and I’ll tell you what my parents religion has taught me over my lifetime. Fuck you, don’t tell me what I believe in. Mitt Romney is an excellent candidate and if the only reason you can’t vote for him is because he is a different sect of Christianity you sir have problems. Let’s be honest. Mitt doesn’t actually believe in Mormonism, it’s more political because for him to back off his religion at this point would be political suicide. Even if he did believe in Mormonism, I don’t see why it is so much crazier than some Evangelical like Huckabee. The only difference is that Joseph Smith is closer in time to now and thus easier to disprove. At the end of the day, I’m just going to vote for whomever I deem the most competent and conservative.

I just think it’s a little more patriotic to rather have a president who is focused on real life issues, like their JOB, than be spewing religion to catch the attention of general idiots. They should be more focused on running the greatest, most powerful country on the planet than, like I said, trying to keep up appearances by acting like they’re such a saint because of their religion.

Guess what? There’s a reason I said “kind of an atheist.” I’m actually more of an agnostic, if you can fucking believe that. I went to private, christian schools my whole life so believe me. I know a fucking thing or two about religion. You’re probably some moron who really doesn’t believe in proven scientific laws and facts, like the size of the universe and the age of the earth. Sorry to inform you, but the universe is far too wide to be only one million years old or less. Millions of fossils have been found to prove that the earth is, in fact, a bit older than 7,000 years. You can’t fossilize anything in such a short amount of time. Sorry to piss you all off, but this is the truth. I’m not a liberal, but I’m also not a moron.

That is the one reason that Muslims and Mormons stand out to me from all other churches. They would be against things that, let’s be honest, we all fucking live for like pussy, liquor, and tobacco. I’m not looking forward to possibly making a trip to Canada every so often just to get a few cartons and suitcases to sneak back into the states. If they weren’t to do bullshit like make those things illegal, then I wouldn’t give two shits what religion our leader is, as long as they’re not liberal and as long as they don’t make shit even worse. I’m not saying that they’ll do things like that, but if they let their religions get in their way of running this country, then who the fuck knows?

Freetofrat, I’m gonna have to call you out there. Mormonism is not a sect of Christianity; from a Christian’s perspective, Mormons are simply not Christians. I’m not hating on Mormons- they are a very loving and generous people who have good morals. I have many great Mormon friends. But to say it is a sect of Christianity would be equivalent to saying Islam is a sect of Christianity. Not because the Mormon faith is equivalent to Islam, but because both have a few rough connections to Christianity yet preach completely different things on a deeper level. Islam was created by a violent man and has violent followers and I have much more respect for Mormons, but they aren’t “Christians” according to the Protestant faith.

Everyone just calm the fuck down. Freeto is the closest one to knowing anything about Mormons. But besides that, everyone else is wrong. Not being Christian? That is from a Protestant view. You said it yourself. Protestants aren’t the dominant religion in this country, so it doesn’t matter how they view Mormons. Although I don’t like Mormons too much (I am surrounded by them), it is irritating when people don’t get their facts right. This whole argument of Mormons not being Christian is retarded, Mormon is a nickname, the real name of the church is “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” the church is based on Jesus Christ that’s all Joseph Smith taught about. So if that makes mormon’s not Christian then I don’t know what is.

Mormonism is not a Christian faith. They have an entirely different system of beliefs. Saying that it is Christian, just because it is called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is like saying the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea must be a democratic republic.

^ thank you, mormonism is not christianity to all you idiots who believe that. Mormons believe that despite contradictory new testament scripture, Jesus actually walked on American soil. They believe that the “level” of heaven you go to is based on how much money you tithe to the church. They believe that God, Jesus, and the Spirit are separate beings instead of one being. They believe in multiple heavens. They believe you have to wear an undergarment to keep demons away. They believe you will rule your own planet when you die. They believe murder can’t be forgiven. They believe multiple gods rule other universes. These are just a few things I know off the top of my head, more research will show many more differences that show mormanism is not a sect of christianity

Mitt Romney is a liberal, Rick Perry is a dumbass, Herman Cain isn’t bad but there’s no way he can win now even if he does continue his campaign again, Newt’s personal life does not represent the GOP family values, and Bachmann is Palin 2.0.

      01/22/1997 – Congress gave him a record-setting $300,000 fine for ethical wrongdoing.
11/29/2006 – He said that free speech should be curtailed in order to fight terrorism. Wants to stop terrorists from using the internet. Called for a “serious debate about the 1st Amendment.”

As for your pot comment, could you be more stupid ? he does not want to legalize pot because he’s pro drugs, its about keeping the government out of our personal life. we dont need the government to hold our hand and tell us how to live. i dont smoke pot and think its stupid and pointless, but what do i care if someone likes to smoke it in the privacy of their own home. as long as it does not effect anyone else. our government has been over stepping their boundaries for far to long. as for your “Libertarian gdi” comment, you could not be farther from the truth. the other republican candidates do not represent the party’s true values at all, sure they’re religious but there’s a lot more to it then that. ron paul is the most conservative of all the candidates. so you can go ahead and vote for that liberal in disguise who wanted to tear up the constitution while us true conservatives stick to the constitution of the united states of america, the best country in the world

ron paul does not want to legalize pot because he’s pro drugs. its about keeping government out of our personal life. the gov. has been over stepping their boundaries way too long. they’re only supposed to protect us and act as a referee when other peoples actions affect others and only then. ron paul is the only truly consistent politician and most conservative candidate, thus the only logical choice. newt is not a conservative and anyone who supports him over ron paul is a moron

As long as the candidate is born and raised in America, who gives a shit what his race, religion or nationality is. Do all you fucking try hards forget what our country represents? Do you all forget what our military fights for? Move to fucking China or North Korea if you don’t like the fact that any American born citizen has an opportunity to become President of the United States. Also, this comment only applies to the men.

Only literate taxpayers and property owners should be allowed to vote.

In order to vote, you should have to be: White, male, literate, own property, and not on any form of welfare.

^So you want to go backwards instead forward? No one is forcing you to stay in this great country. Your opinion is just outright ignorant.
