In Case You Missed It: Here’s Donald Trump Dancing To Hotline Bling

This is the most I’ve laughed at an SNL skit since Dubya left office.

This video does not exactly scream “Presidential” or “Commander in Chief”. This is not some reality TV show; this is a primary election for office to the greatest country in the world. This video is yet another example of how Trump is nothing but a wealthy pretender who has made a total mockery of this entire country. If you think Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, or Reagan would ever sign off on this joke of a campaign, you should put your phone down, get back to your high school US Government class, and take off your “Make America Great Again” hat. When the bell rings, drop out, pack a suitcase full of cargos, move to North Korea, and burn your US passport.

You only berate trump for this while Clinton does the same on late night tv. You are officially outed as a liberal showing your bias.

For news about the Presidential Race? I prefer neither. I prefer Fox News. You get your political views from MadTV and SNL? You’re going going places, pal.

Or maybe we should judge candidates for their actual political views and solutions to the nation’s problems rather than whether they dance to shitty music? I don’t like him either but this is pretty much a non-issue. He’s just a person

The fact that every candidate – not just Trump – is willing to degrade and humiliate themselves on a comedy show is very concerning and shows you how low this country has sunk. What’s even more disturbing is that people will choose who they vote for simply because they made a funny joke or acted “like one of us”. Our republic is doomed.

People have been voting for presidents because they “acted like one of us” all throughout American history dumbass. Andrew Jackson was voted for because of how much the common person related to him. We’ve had presidents that have been actors and that did things aside from being just a politician. The republic is like it has always been, so shut the fuck up with your condescending bullshit.

Jacksons response to the Supreme Court decision against the Indian Removal Act: “John Marshall has voiced his ruling, now let him enforce it.”

Popular opinion of Jackson increased after the Indian Removal Act, as John Marshall’s decision was not liked by a majority of the public

Andrew Jackson was the first “people’s president”, but not because he acted like “one of us” but because he was a damn war hero and a planter from lowly origins. Presidential candidates didn’t even campaign for themselves back in the early 1800’s, so please tell me how Andrew Jackson’s presidential campaign was the same as going on a game show and making a mockery of oneself. If someone insulted him he would have challenged them to a duel.. not quite the same as letting people call you a racist on SNL. And go read a fucking history book.

My point had nothing to do with your first point about being mocked on television. My point had to do with the statement that the republic is doomed and that people should not vote based on jokes or “acting like us”. People have been and will continue to vote based on reasons that have nothing to do with a candidate’s ability to lead the country. Many people did not vote for Andrew Jackson because of his political stances, but rather because he was the time period’s equivalent of a celebrity. In order to be elected, people have to like you as a person (or at least like you more than the other guy), hence why smear campaigns are effective. I’m not saying I like this, but it’s inevitable in a democracy. This is how it’s been, and likely how it will stay. A candidate trying to gain favor by showing off cheesy dance moves isn’t going to cause the founding principles of our great nation to crumble.

This is funny. Some of you need to chill and respect that he’s willing to have some fun and be out there being able to make people laugh. I’m sure he cares so much about your opinion.
