Incredible Mashup Proves Every Country Song Is The Exact Same Garbage

I saw this blow up all over my news feed yesterday. It’s incredible that a good portion of the population needed a video like this to realize that 95% of modern country is recycled pandering garbage.

I’ll take my laps but new country music is just shitty pop music with a fake exaggerated twang.

You’re right, but I can’t be the only one that still likes listening to it even if it is a guilty pleasure. It’s basically more enjoyable pop music, the lesser of two evils.

Pre-1980 country music> Today’s country is designed for basic white girls or hillbillies. It had a meaning then, Mac.

No shit, guy. There’s no beating the classics, and that goes for any other genre. Call me a hillbilly though, because I’d rather listen to this shit over everything else any day.

Gotta give credit to guys like Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Johnson, Cody Canada, Wade Bowen, and Uncle Lucius. Thank god for Red Dirt/Texas Country

Or Sturgill Simpson. I thought he was Merle the first time I heard him. The Texas Red Dirt music scene is becoming huge. I personally know Casey Donahew. When he started, they went from gig to gig in a Ford F-350 pulling a small trailer with gear. Now, they are everywhere. IMO, the best stations are 95.9 The Ranch out of Fort Worth and Radio Free Texas online.

I met Wade Bowen back in 05 or so and I had no fucking clue who he was, he gave me a cd and that’s what saved me from Nashville.

That’s back in day when he was with West 84. He’s a mega talent in the Texas/Red Dirt scene. He’s Cody Canada’s brother-in-law. I’m not a fan of Cody’s new band. Maybe I just miss Ragweed.

I’m with you USArmy. Cody Canada is not nearly the same as Ragweed. Still a shame they aren’t around anymore.
