I highly doubt it was part of the liberal agenda to release his college transcript…seeing as obama hasn’t released his college transcript, dissertation, etc.
and? He believes in the purity of a free, capitalist economy more than anyone else in the race. What he lacks a bit in foreign policy, he makes up with impeccable domestic common sense and freedom.
Your first line basically asserted the fact he’s a libertarian. Either way, Ron Paul cannot win, he’s simply not electable by the majority of Americans.
Ron Paul wants to make money off of the middle east through trade and diplomacy, rather than fueling our military industrial complex and protecting a few private special interests. Saving the country trillions of dollars: FaF.
His is the only foreign policy, every other politician is weak on the middle east, and my definition of weak is sacrificing the lives of young Americans (many of them our fraternity brethren) for aforementioned special interests.
Rick Perry is electable and better than Obama, which is what we need right now.
I’m all for Ron Paul 2012, but it’s just not in the cards. Maybe Rick will do the right thing and give him a VP or cabinet position.
I am going to pray long and hard Rick Perry doesn’t become president…does that mean my prayers will fight his prayers to become president? Prayer battle. TFM
Rick Perry blows and isn’t electable because independent voters won’t go for him. If the GOP wants any realistic chance of unseating Obama, they need someone much more moderate and less divisive. Perry is great at talking anti-Obama political smack, but he can’t even run his own state efficiently (and we’re supposed to trust him to fix the country? Spare me). I watched that debate the other month, and he has no real ideas; he just spews cliche talking points.
Look at Buddy Roemer from Louisiana, he’s such a more well rounded, reasonable candidate. He is fighting the stranglehold interest groups and corporation have on Washington (he isn’t accepting any campaign donations in excess of $100), all while running on a traditional conservative platform instead of more neo-con douchery.
Rick Perry has no chance. Allowing Obama to basically have the chance to run against Bush, that is not the way to beat him at all. Only way that the GOP can take back the white house is with Huntsman or Romney. Why do you think Huntsman was sent to china as ambassador, Obama wanted to hurt his cred in the GOP field, because they knew in 08 that he would have the best shot at beating him in 2012. Romney is ok, but he has baggage, but if the GOP wants to win, they are the only two who would have a shot.
As stated before, Perry will not make the presidential ballot. If he is able to, it will be an easy win for Obama. If anything Perry would make a decent neo-con VP similar to Palin. Romney is the way to go in attracting swing voters and actually landing a Republican in office, despite peoples’ qualms with his moderate stances on some issues.
Also, for everyone in support of Paul’s ideas or libertarian beliefs in general, I suggest you research Gary Johnson. He is officially in the race and I’m frankly surprised he is not receiving more attention. He is basically a younger Ron Paul, with executive experience and an exceptional track record of cutting spending and not giving into partisan factions. Furthermore, he is the epitome of successful entrepreneurship, growing a one-man gig to the largest construction company in New Mexico. It is unfortunate that he has not become a larger part of the mainstream coverage.
I’m guessing he is just considered too much of a fringe candidate as he doesn’t really conform to the current mantra of the GOP. They probably figure Ron Paul adds enough in that regard, as even he usually isn’t taken terribly seriously by media outlets.
Although even Johnson was a bit miffed at being excluded from the recent debate, so hopefully in the next debate (in September or October, I believe?) he will have a podium of his own. He responded to all the questions in the last debate online and clearly wants to share his views, so I’m hoping he’ll get a chance.
i literally just tried to submit the same thing. how cool
