It Sure Looks Like Aldon Smith Live Streamed Himself Smoking Pot

Since entering the league in 2011 as a top 10 pick, Aldon Smith has had a lot of ups and downs. You can go ahead and throw today’s story into the “down” column.

A video has recently surfaced on Periscope that seems to show Oakland Raiders defensive end/outside linebacker Aldon Smith smoking pot, something NFL players aren’t allowed to do. He had some interesting things to say about the incident… as it was happening.

“They don’t know it’s me. It’s not like I put Aldon Smith,” says the voice of the man filming himself smoking a blunt in a video that has gone viral. The voice of the man sounds conspicuously like Oakland Raider LB Aldon Smith, who is suspended for the entire season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

You’re right, and it’s not like the Zodiac Killer wrote “Ted wuz here” in chalk at the scene of every murder.

Oh, the shit you do when you’re high. This doesn’t bode too well for Smith, who is already suspended. He does have a lot of talent, and has had quite a bit of success in his five years in the NFL, but he seems to be perpetually suspended or in trouble. Teams will eventually stop putting up with this nonsense, especially as Smith gets older. Hopefully he gets his act together and can live up to his pedigree..
