Italy Makes First Move To Take Down Vegans

Vegans are painfully pretentious, and they can’t go five seconds without mentioning the fact that they’re a vegan. It’s enough to make you want to tie them down and force them to eat sirloin steak with a milkshake and scrambled eggs while they sob onto the plot and blog on tumblr about it.

And while the United States of America is the greatest country on Earth, we damn sure aren’t perfect. Our biggest weakness (other than the Kardashians)? We’re not hard enough on vegans. Non-violent drug offenders get heavy prison sentences, and rude, obnoxious vegans walk the streets freely with no punishment. Disgusting.

Luckily, Italy just took a step in the right direction.

Italian lawmakers are trying to make it illegal for parents to force their kids to have vegan diets. Italian parliament member Elvira Savino recently proposed a legislation that could send these parents to prison for as much as four years. The reasoning behind this concept is that these parents are robbing their children of their full amount of daily nutrition.

Savino had this to say, via Reuters:

“I have nothing against vegans or veganism as long as it is a free choice by adults,” she told Reuters in a telephone interview on Wednesday, days after she presented the proposed law in the lower house Chamber of Deputies.

“I just find it absurd that some parents are allowed to impose their will on children in an almost fanatical, religious way, often without proper scientific knowledge or medical consultation,” she said.

“Do-it-yourself on these matters terrorizes me.”

Savino firmly believes that this is a national emergency, but I strongly disagree, it’s an INTERNATIONAL emergency. Every country on the planet should impose this law, and start bringing these sick vegan bastards to justice. Hopefully, the US of A can take a page of Italy’s playbook on this one.

The Italian lawmaker said that this is strictly about nutrition, and nothing else, but we all know the truth..
