J.J. Watt Is Clearly Not Dedicated To Football Anymore, Picks Golf Over The Gym

Houston Texans fans should be seriously concerned with their All-Pro defensive end, J.J. Watt, who clearly has checked out of football altogether. Not only has the three time NFL defensive player of the year not posted an Instagram gym selfie or box jump video in over a month, he’s now in full vacation mode — hitting the links in favor of the weights.

Yes, the same man who made it into his team’s facilities during the massive Houston floods and was too busy flipping tires to catch a few minutes of Kobe’s final game is a shadow of his former self — playing 18 instead of #Grinding in the gym.

Yes, this was a Houston Texans charity event, and, if there’s one thing J.J. loves more than football, it’s inspiring the dying youth of America — so long as someone’s recording him doing so. Still, you have to question his work ethic, or lack thereof, over the last month. How do we know he’s been #StrivingForGreatness when we have no social media documentation? Seems like he’s been taking it way too easy this offseason. Expect a massive dip in production with this type of apathetic behavior, Houston.

The swing, itself, is a thing of beauty. Just sheer, raw power. Savvy move having it be recorded from the side rather than from behind to demonstrate the brute force without people getting distracted by something as unimportant as accuracy, too. But you don’t get that kind of form just picking up a golf club every now and again for charity. Dude’s been swinging the wrenches, embracing retired life, and putting football on the back burner. It’s clear his heart isn’t in the game of football anymore.

Being long off the tee has very little to do with size… Just look at Jamie Sadlowski.

JJ Watt is a legitimate IGBOTD contestant with how much social media whoring he does

If I played with broken bones and torn muscles and my team surrounded me with absolute garbage I would probably stop caring too

He must have been a baseball player back in the day. Amazing he can make contact with that backswing coil and all that lower body movement.

JJ needs to get more of his weight through to his left side to counter the slide. Nice swing speed though

Slice. Damnit. Also Dan, you’re drooling over this a bit too much. I think someone is jealous of his less mediocre swing and larger muscles

I think he just wants to get to a team with an actual shot of winning a championship
