Jack Nicklaus’ Drive Down Magnolia Lane Was Full Of Nostalgia And Starstruck Security Guards

The party can finally start: Jack Nicklaus has made it to Augusta.

It’s safe to say nobody deserves more respect at Augusta National Golf Club than the Golden Bear. When you win six green jackets like Nicklaus, including back-to-back wins in ’65 and ’66, it just comes with the territory. That’s why it’s no surprise that Jack got the rockstar treatment as he drove down Magnolia Lane yesterday.

Watch from behind the scenes what happened when I arrived to Magnolia Lane and the Masters this afternoon!

Here are a few of my favorite exchanges from the video:

Guard 1: “We know who ya are.”

Passenger: “Jack, does this ever get old?”

Jack: “What, Magnolia Lane?”

Passenger: “Yeah.”

Jack: “Umm, well, it is old.”

Jack: “You don’t need to scan that, do ya?”

Guard 2: “No sir, I sure don’t.”

Guard 3: “You go wherever you’d like, young man.”

Passenger: “Why are they so nice to ya?”

Jack: “I don’t know.”

Sure you don’t, Jack.

While I appreciate and respect the hell out of Palmer, Jack Nicklaus is the GOAT.

I would launch a herd of midgets off the Golden Gate Bridge if it meant playing a round at Augusta National.

“Alright, Buttery, toss these suckers off the bridge and a round at Augusta is yours.”

I mean from an “ethical” standpoint it is, but you’re right, I wouldn’t beat myself up for it.
