Jason Day Gives Reason For Why He Didn’t Protect Wife From LeBron, Should Win Husband Of Year

Back in December, Jason Day and his wife, Ellie, sat courtside for the Cleveland Cavaliers-Oklahoma City Thunder game. When you sit courtside, you’re exposed to the risk that comes with it — like 260-lb. professional athletes flying at your face. While attempting to save a loose ball, LeBron James dove into the stands and flattened Ellie. Just steamrolled her. She had to be taken out on a stretcher and was diagnosed with a concussion.
She turned out to be okay, thankfully. Jason Day took a little hit as white knights around the country wondered why Jason didn’t save his wife from the large man that is King James. Many folks thought he should have done more to protect her. So, why didn’t he? Well, when speaking with the media before the start of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on Wednesday, he addressed the incident and answered that question.
From FTW USA Today:
“It happened so quick, I’m going to do that? I’m not going to stop a 260-pound guy that’s 6-8 running full speed. Ellie took it like a champ, though.
LeBron James is running full speed at your wife. You have two options: protect her, or protect yourself. What do you do? If you’re a pro athlete like Jason Day who relies on his body to make the money for the family, then you move out of the way 100 times out of 100. Yeah, your wife is going to get bulldozed and publicly embarrassed and possibly even injured very seriously, but you know what isn’t taking a hit? Your 2016 earning potential.
All I’m saying is that Jason Day saw Bron Bron barreling down at him and his 2016 season flashed before his eyes. And being fickle already with vertigo, he thought that if he gets trucked and gets hurt, there goes the moneymaker. He’s pissed, his wife is pissed because there is no money coming in, and their kid is pissed because Christmas next year will suck. Leader in the clubhouse for husband of the year.
Side note: Spieth starting 2016 hot..

Obviously Jason Day believes in gender equality. Ellie is a strong, independent woman, and it would be sexist of him to take the hit for her.
10 years ago at 9:55 amWell said, son.
10 years ago at 10:36 amThat’s his fucking wife. He doesn’t deserve husband of the year.
10 years ago at 9:56 amPossibly lose your ability to play golf at a professional level forever just to keep some key board warriors from running their mouths? Fuck out of here.
10 years ago at 10:23 amObviously most people would jump out of the way I don’t blame him for that. Saying he should gets props for doing so is ridiculous that woman had a full blown concussion.
10 years ago at 1:11 amHe can always get another wife.
10 years ago at 10:48 amI’m sure you would’ve sprung to her rescue, stopping LeBron with the sheer power of your neck beard. Then tipping your fedora to m’lady for being her white knight in shining armor. You might be more autistic than Boulevard.
10 years ago at 11:05 amI know I’m jumping the gun a little because it’s not even noon yet, but if you cum-guzzlers don’t post Fail Friday today this website is officially not even worth my 15 minute shit break.
10 years ago at 10:31 amI barely have the coordination or speed to play regular basketball, let alone dodge a 260 lb mammoth from plowing through me.
10 years ago at 10:39 amIt’s honestly a no win situation here. If he takes the hit feminists will be complaining. If he doesn’t then he gets shit on about not being a gentlemen. Guys just cannot win anymore.
10 years ago at 10:40 amNot giving a fuck what idiot feminists think is winning in my book
10 years ago at 12:10 pmProbably reminded her of her college days…

10 years ago at 1:04 pmTake a hit, Make a play JD. If Vijay Singh had a wife like that, you better believe he is laying in front of Bron Bron.
10 years ago at 4:11 pmFunny how this girl isn’t trying to sue Lebron, “in fear for her life” for $15 Million.
