JMU Senior Gives Rousing Rendition Of The Miracle On Ice Speech After Getting Iced In The Library

You’re probably familiar with the famous Wayne Gretzky quote, “You miss 100% of the icings you don’t take.” Well, a senior from James Madison University who graduates this weekend took his icing in the school library and took it like a champ when he not only downed that wine cooler, but also gave a spirited recitation of Herb Brooks’ “You Were Born For This” speech.

USA! USA! USA! Sure, the guy missed a whole bunch of key lines in the middle there, but fuck it. I’d lace up the skates that I don’t have and kick some Ruskie ass with this guy leading the charge. Dude’s a natural born leader. You just can’t teach that.

Here’s hoping he’s planning to pursue a career in politics after graduation, because I haven’t seen anyone captivate a crowd like that since a late and great pal of mine named Ronnie Reagan told Gorbachev to tear down that wall. I mean, the kid basically just declared war on Russia with this speech. You know Putin has to have him on some sort of watchlist by now.

The only thing that could have taken this 10/10 moment to an 11 is if chief here Stone Colded two Nattys and went full send through one of those wooden tables. The Founding Fathers themselves would have risen from their graves and each given our boy a firm, American handshake.
