Jordan Spieth Once Wrote A Thank You To The Family Who Helped Put Him Through High School
Jordan Spieth is the man I want my future son to be. Not only is he one of the greatest golfers on the PGA Tour right now at the age of 21, but he is also one of the greatest all-around guys you’ll ever meet. We’ve seen his humility in all of his post-round interviews. He even gave us this great quote, “Me speaking about humility is very difficult because that wouldn’t be humility.” He also portrays that same humility off of the course.
While attending Jesuit High School in Dallas, he had to work for his tuition. While in the work grant program, he received the Joseph M. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Fund that helped fund his tuition at Jesuit. When he was a Junior, he took the time out from absolutely destroying the competition to pen the following thank you letter to the family who set up the scholarship.

Little did he know that five and a half years later he would be realizing that dream.
What a class act. I can only imagine what it would be like to play in a grouping with him. Here’s to many more majors, Jordan.

10 years ago at 6:13 pmYou TFM guys are sucking Spieth’s dick so much lately. No one gives a fuck about what he’s doing.
10 years ago at 7:00 pmI’ve unfortunately stumbled upon a number of your comments on multiple columns, and I can confidently say that not a single one of them hasn’t made me want to throw myself out of a moving vehicle.
10 years ago at 2:00 pmMust be one of those Tiger fans living in the past.

10 years ago at 1:47 amWriting a thank you for a scholarship is pretty routine, but it’s the fact he talked about winning the Masters, and that video where he talked about it is what makes it so cool. Hard not to like a guy like Spieth
