Kansas Essentially Built A $12M Frat House For The Basketball Team

The University of Kansas building a $12M “dorm room” solely from private donations to house the athletes of the school’s premier sport is such a no-brainer to me. Not only does the newly built McCarthy Hall help the Jayhawks continue to dominate the college basketball recruiting scene, but they can now keep better tabs on their guys’ whereabouts on a nightly basis and throw in more gifts on the d.l. under false pretenses of “remodeling.”

Check out Bill Self’s player’s palace that includes a basketball court, barber shop, outdoor patio, media theatre, and game room for yourself.

Graham not being able to knock down that three with the cameras on shows me he doesn’t have the clutch gene. Don’t give him the ball in a big spot, Bill.

And if you think this is excessive, you’re nuts. It’s all about keeping up with the Caliparis. Kentucky did this back in 2012 and even included a private chef. This was Kansas’ only play.

Recruiting is an arms race, and if you’re not bringing in a barber before game days, you’re just not going to compete in this modern era of college sports.

They have to spend great amounts of money on something, they’re obviously not spending it on being a respectable university.

Ludicrous! They’re not for profit. This will clearly improve academics.
