Kate Upton Celebrates 21st Birthday In Washington

The average day at work for Congressman Fred Upton, a Republican representing Michigan’s 6th congressional district, probably isn’t too exciting. Sure, he’s Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, which I’m sure is just plain thrilling, but honestly, his days are probably pretty mundane. The biggest day of the year for him was probably when his niece came to town.

Why is that a big deal? His niece is Kate Upton.

Ms. Upton visited her uncle, as well as Republican Whip Kevin McCarthy. She didn’t visit them for a pure publicity stunt or to support some new legislation. She visited them for her 21st birthday.

That’s right. No bar crawl. No trip to exotic locations. No alcohol fueled weekend in Vegas. Kate Upton celebrated her 21st birthday with congressmen.

Obviously, being in the positions they are, these politicians wanted to capitalize on the publicity. As the saying goes, “Any PR is good PR, especially if there are big tits involved.”

Congressman McCarthy chose to highlight the meeting on his Instagram page.

“With Congressman Fred Upton and his niece, Kate. We are celebrating Kate’s 21st Birthday #kateupton,” McCarthy wrote in the caption.

Sound move, McCarthy. That’ll definitely get you points in the 18-25 demographic. In fact, McCarthy’s involvement at the event caught the attention of at least one person in the demographic almost immediately.

McCarthy’s nephew, Zac McCarthy, promptly commented on the photo saying, “@repkevinmccarthy don’t forget you got a 21 year old nephew….”
