“Sure, girls from New York, they are tough. And girls from Georgia, they are sweet. But those born and bred feisty Kentucky girls, they are the ones you have to look out for. We have sugar and fire in our blood. We can ride a horse, be a débutante, throw a left hook and tell you the entire UK line up all while making sweet tea. And if we have an opinion, you get to know it. We’re both the pride and the downfall of the bluegrass…”

If that aint a Southern Belle, idk what is.
No SEC frat star, i have high standards, and am very proud of my home state. i’m proud of Kentucky basketball, the winningest program in the NCAA. I’m proud of bourbon whisky, or (whiskey) for all your nitpickers. I’m proud of my hometown horse track Keeneland, and the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. I’m proud of being one the highest tobacco producing states in this fine country and home to the world equestrian games 2010. Do you turn your lights on at night? thats powered by coal, more than likely mined in eastern kentucky or west virginia. Home of the Ford truck plant, and lastly that new corvette you probably wish you were driving, manufactured by GM in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sorry our state has more to be proud of than your ignorant mind can comprehend. So damn sorry.
Considering Texas A&M and Missouri are going to be in the NCAA it’s better than what Kentucky did. Winning in one of the worst basketball conferences isn’t that impressive
Also, in overall sports the top 3 schools by # of national championships are UCLA, Stanford, and USC. Arkansas is 5th on that list behind those three and Oklahoma State.

14 years ago at 1:58 pmKU did the same with the Big 12. It must be difficult to play the likes of Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and Arkansas year in and year out.
14 years ago at 1:59 pm^ agreed.
14 years ago at 2:08 pmYeah I mean about as hard as playing Oklahoma State, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech right? Big 12. NF

14 years ago at 2:19 pmA GDI Big 12 fan would say that since his teams can’t win in football you look to basketball to think you’re school actually matters.
14 years ago at 3:46 pmWhat round did Kansas lose last year?
14 years ago at 4:34 pmYeah! Colonel Fratson is right! Because Texas and Oklahoma are never ranked in football, stupid! They’ve never won anything!
14 years ago at 11:16 pmPretty sure the SEC has the same number of teams in the tourney as the Big 12. Better luck next time.
