Kliff Kingsbury Is Cool Enough To Pull Off This Fake $150,000 Watch

The public pushback after it was revealed that Coach Kliff’s 150k Breitling is a fake has been hilarious–not hilarious like “haha, what an idiot!” but hilarious like “don’t you people realize that Kliff knows exactly what he’s doing here?” He knows it’s a fake. He also wants you to know it’s a fake. Look at this photo and tell me he’s not shoving this $100 piece of crap right in our faces. You can’t.

Kingsbury showed up to Big 12 Media Days wearing this Breitling knockoff, modeled after the Breitling for Bentley Mulliner Tourbillon. The real thing retails for about 150 grand, whereas fakes such as the one pictured on Kliff’s wrist can be snagged off the internet for about $100. The real version is pictured below.

The date dial is a dead give away. I see you, Kliff.

Pointing out the watch’s glaring flaws, some watch dorks on a Breitling forum called the fake out pretty quickly, referring to Kliff’s version as a “low end fake.” It’s not even a quality fake. So Kliff.

A helpful tipster alerted us to the fact that Kingsbury’s watch, pictured above, bears a striking resemblance to various knockoffs that can be found on the internet for about $100.

This is simply Coach Kliff letting the world know that expensive knockoffs are now in style.
