I don't pay for my friends, I pay for a castle where we throw parties you're not invited to. TFM.

I don’t think anyone gives a shit. Most of us are living pretty well down here in the south.

Actually, this is a huge grammar myth. Everyone seems to believe that you should never end a sentence in a preposition, but grammarians say there are plenty of cases when it is fine. In this case, there isn’t any reason to change the original, especially since it sounds more natural.
I’m not going to post any links, but there are tons. Google it if you’d like.

Ending sentences with prepositions is something for which I will not stand.

Sorry….I get so used to defending it (journalist) that my response was kind of instinctive. I sound like a huge nerd. Plus, “on what is going?” definitely makes more sense than “what is going on?”

just ask them to find an organization on campus that doesn’t have membership dues. it’s such an easy attack to defend too.

Sergeant Arms, I always think that exact thing. Doesn’t nearly every worthwhile club have membership fees? And if I were paying for my friends, wouldn’t my friends be the ones getting the money?

You are paying to live with like minded men and to keep those GDIs at arms distance. One of the best investments a man can make.

If you actually break down what you are “paying” for then its not for friends at all. Bad ass housing, homecoming, intramural events, parties, and clothes (Bid day shirts, etc) then its actually an amazing investment. Unfortunately, Geeds are to stupid and poor to understand. They blow their money on cheap shit then watch us win everything every year without comprehending how. Jealousy is NF and that’s why Geeds are filled with Jealousy.

Bottom line, I didn’t join a Fraternity because I thought I was better. I joined because I know I’m the best.

“If that was even true, that would mean like a hundred people are paying to be my friend. So…..”
