EA Exec Hints At Likely Return Of NCAA Football Game, We Can Only Hope He’s Not Lying

I know a lot of you have fond memories of playing NCAA Football 14 back in the day, before the series was unceremoniously discontinued shortly after its release. A while back I offered a look at a different company’s attempt at bringing college football back to consoles, but today’s news concerns the actual NCAA Football series.

From Fox Sports:

EA Chief Competition Officer Peter Moore recently spoke to IGN and briefly discussed a potential revival of the franchise, which is sorely missed by college football fans and gamers worldwide. Moore seems optimistic about a return, though he doesn’t seem to have a specific date or timeline in mind.

“It was a really sad day and we said, ‘We just can’t do this anymore,’” Moore told IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey. “And one day I know we’ll be back.”

While that isn’t a whole hell of a lot to go on, at least we know that the company is itching to start making the series again. If the game does return in the near future, I’ve proposed a few new features that it could adopt:

-Overhauled recruitment in Dynasty Mode, complete with sex parties, paying players, and Jim Harbaugh trying to poach your recruits by having sleepovers with them. You may also offer scholarships to players as young as 13.
-All new “Baylor Challenge,” in which you must rebuild a disgraced football program from the ground up.
-New commentary done entirely by Lou Holtz.
-New dynamic crowd animations, with fans in wet stadiums such as Oregon State’s getting significantly rowdier as the game progresses.

I hope to God EA Sports has better ideas up their sleeves than me. Here’s to hoping NCAA Football returns sooner rather than later.

I still play NCAA 14 more than any other game and own madden 17. It is just so much better because you can scramble with almost any QB

I abuse the triple option, once mastered, it’s nearly impossible to defend.

Grew up a die hard Georgia Tech fan, and spent 3 hours one day making their full roster on the game. It’s actually really fun, especially since teams like Alabama and Ohio State are pretty much the same, and I get to play with my favorite team’s current roster. I would suggest doing this with your favorite team, it takes a while, but it’s really fun

Or I could masturbate, that would be a more efficient way of using my time.
