Louisville Cheerleader’s Death Leads To (Unexpected?) UL-UK Twitter Beef
Hours after this selfie was posted to her Instagram account, Louisville cheerleader Dani Cogswell was found dead in her apartment on Louisville’s campus. The cause of her death is unknown and is currently under investigation. No foul play is suspected, however.
Using the #RIPDani hashtag, normal, soulful internet people took to Twitter to express their condolences for Cogswell’s passing. Tragic moments such as this typically bring out people from each end of the internet spectrum. The first group of people is the aforementioned–they express their sorrow and well wishes for the deceased’s family and friends. They are, by internet standards, good people. The other group features people like this:
Uk fans for you. Not all are like this, but this is disgusting pic.twitter.com/hmlzkHYy6c

@AlexRahrah98 has since deleted her account, but unfortunately, not before she pissed off a lot of people.
It's really sad that a Louisville cheerleader dies and it turns into a UK vs. UofL debate #RIPDani

“@AlexRahrah98: @ItsCheerGirl @k_squaared R.I.P but UK is still better.” Do you have any respect at all?

Rivalries are fun. It’s the crazies that make them occasionally un-fun. If you put common, human decency aside in the name of your sports allegiances, you’re one of those crazies, and, frankly, you need help.
#RIPDani
Prayers go up for her and her family.
