LSU's Top House Has Been Placed On Suspension

In what is becoming a developing story, LSU’s Sigma Chi has been placed on interim suspension by the university. Sigma Chi is considered to be the top house on campus and has around 150 active members. While there is no concrete detail as to why they were suspended, the school and their nationals have opened an investigation into the matter.

From The Daily Reveille:

“LSU placed them on interim suspension pending an advocacy and accountability investigation and [organization] accountability process,” said LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard. Both LSU’s and the chapter’s investigation and accountability process will unfold concurrently, Ballard confirmed.

Ballard said he could not reveal the grounds for the suspension, as the investigation is pending.

Ernie also mentioned, at the time of the investigation, that there has been no talk of forcing the members who live in the house to pack up their things. Rumor has it that this is the end for Sigma Chi and that it’s only a matter of time before they are kicked off for good. We cannot confirm those rumors at this time, though. I hope this turns out to be nothing and they are allowed to stay on.

If the rumor turns out to be true, Sigma Chi would become the second fraternity this year to be kicked off campus. Back in March, Acacia was let go for hazing violations.

We will update the story as more information becomes available.

“…as the investigation is pending” loosely translates to, “we don’t have shit but we fully plan on finding something totally unrelated to our original inquiries and investigations”.

I have zero knowledge of LSU Greek life and I can still assure you TKE is not the top house.

I’m afraid to ask but is TKE top house anywhere? Most of us are going to probably reply no…….

It’s a good day for TKE if they even manage to be the top house in their own house.

Damn, if only I would’ve gone to bigger university, we would’ve been quite popular. We were on interim suspension every other semester.

Being rowdy is acceptable and definitely a prerequisite, but constantly getting suspended is a sign of just blatant stupidity.

This article is literally copy and pasted from the lsu daily reveille. Both with minimal information and the inclusion of acacia for no reason

And for those that don’t know this, the Reveille is the biggest piece of fucking trash that’s ever been published.

I get that Greek life in the South is much bigger and much more supported by their university and the administration

But it could be a lot worse. The Hitler of University deans at Arizona has been steadily kicking off a top house each semester for at least the last 3 years. At this point it’s just the least pathetic house left since top house is now a relative term since the top houses have all been kicked off.

These people must be stupid, if you go to a huge well known SEC school that thrives off of greek life, there is going to be hazing so stop living in a false reality and accept that

Intoxicated LSU Sigma Chi passed out on rail tracks near campus and was hit by train last semester. He lost his leg. Parents are suing.
