Man Steals Police Car, Crashes Into McDonald’s, Starts Shooting Near University of Maryland

After “man steals police car” the rest of that sequence of events seems pretty standard. After all, you don’t steal a police car, go for a harmless joyride, park it somewhere and leave. Nope, chances are you crash it into AT LEAST a McDonald’s, although Red Lobster would have been funnier. No word on if the as yet to be identified suspect stole the car and crashed it into the McDonald’s in an act of defiance towards both American government and corporations or if he was just high on bath salts and looking to grab a McFace Sandwich.

After the man crashed the car he reportedly began firing at police officers before escaping on foot. The police tracked him down a few blocks away where more shots were exchanged between the man and the officers. After being shot by police the man was finally subdued. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to live.

Since this happened in Maryland I’d make a joke referencing The Wire but I never watched that show, so if you need a pointless joke about The Wire go read Bill Simmons.
