Manziel Loses Nike Endorsement
According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, Johnny Manziel lost his Nike endorsement deal shortly after the 2015 NFL season, and now word is out.
BREAKING: Nike has terminated its endorsement deal with Johnny Manziel.

From ESPN:
Nike spokesman Brian Strong told ESPN that Manziel, who was signed by the shoe and apparel giant in March 2014 to a multiyear deal, is no longer an endorser of the brand.
Sources said Nike terminated the deal some time after the NFL season ended.
The former Cleveland Browns quarterback had already been dumped by his original contract agent, Erik Burkhardt, and his marketing agent, Maverick Carter. His second contract agent, Drew Rosenhaus, left him on Tuesday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Now Manziel has lost his biggest marketing deal.
The train is off the rails and his people are tucking and rolling out of it as it speeds toward its fiery grave. Man, this sucks. Manziel articles used to be fun to write. We celebrated his drinking, partying, carefree attitude, and his hot TCU girlfriend. Now I hate it and hope he doesn’t read them (ily, Johnny).
I’m not sure what’s left to say at this point that hasn’t already been said. Nike dumps Johnny after last season for his excessive partying and drinking, alleged domestic abuse, missing mandatory team functions, etc., but for some reason keeps it under wraps until he shows up to Coachella looking like the guy you buy shitty coke from?

9 years ago at 1:32 amSounded like a Wahlberg metaphor attempt
9 years ago at 5:56 amI never thought that I could say that half of my house looks to be in better shape than JFF but good god, the dude looks like he’s been living off a diet of strictly miller light and mcchickens…. which, coincidentally, is the same diet the other half of my house is on
9 years ago at 1:32 amIn all seriousness, where is his family stepping up and giving this guy the help he needs. It’s almost like they don’t give a fuck
9 years ago at 1:35 amWealthy families are often the most dysfunctional.
9 years ago at 2:15 amPretty sure that’s one of the big problems, supposedly his family is shitty.
9 years ago at 6:38 amI have a cousin who played football with Johnny in high school. There’s nothing supposed about it, his family is pretty dysfunctional. Manziel has basically done whatever the fuck he wants his entire life with little to no concept of consequences because his parents couldn’t give less of a shit and he had seemingly unlimited access to their wealth. Henry_Eighth makes a very valid point.
9 years ago at 8:05 amI don’t think he’s an alcoholic… He’s just a normal 23 year old enjoying post grad life. He just happened to be an NFL QB with actual endorsements who lost them due to his irresponsibility. 20 years ago before social media, what he’s doing was completely normal and no one knew or cared about it (Watch any 30 for 30). It’s 2016; you have to be smarter because everyone has snapchat now.
9 years ago at 2:10 amIt’s snatch-chat sir.
9 years ago at 2:35 amYou’re right. And God is a woman too
9 years ago at 11:28 pmIt’s all fun and games until you lose your Nike endorsement.
9 years ago at 6:33 amHe’s going to be ok Manziels family is one of the wealthiest in south texas and his dad is a really solid guy
9 years ago at 6:38 amThey probably cut him off. I saw him in Beverly Hills asking for the price of some nike shoes.
9 years ago at 12:01 pmI miss the old Johnny
9 years ago at 7:46 amStraight from the gold Johnny
