Melissa Click Has Assault Claim Filed Against Her, Gets What She Deserves
Let’s get something straight real quick: racism is terrible and should not be tolerated. I don’t know what it’s like to be discriminated against because of the color of my skin. On the other hand, the First Amendment of our Constitution states that we have the right to free speech. That free speech gives the Mizzou protestors the right to do their protesting. Totally fine for them to do that. It’s their right. On the flip side, media and anyone who opposes their viewpoints are also allowed to say their view on it and report on the protests.
Melissa Click lost sight of the First Amendment when she called for some muscle in the now infamous video of the #ConcernedStudent1950 protests. Mark Schierbecker was trying to video the protests when he was met with unnecessary force by Click and her posse. At one point during the video, Click grabbed at his camera before calling for some muscle to get him removed from inside a human circle. Now, Mark has filed an assault claim with the police claiming that Melissa verbally and physically assaulted him.
From USA Today:
The University of Missouri student who filmed assistant professor Melissa Click call for “muscle” to eject him from a protest site on campus says he has filed a complaint with police alleging simple assault.
Mark Schierbecker said that he filed the complaint with campus police late Wednesday and was waiting to hear if they would press charges against Click, an assistant professor in the university’s Department of Communication. A police department spokesman, Major Brian Weimar, confirmed the complaint had been filed.
Good for him. Click deserves everything that she has coming to her. She had no reason to tell the media they weren’t allowed to film, nor did she have the right to assault the man trying to film. If you want your message to be heard, then you have to allow for a counter-message to also be heard. If you want zero media involvement while you protest, do it behind closed doors or accept the fact that the First Amendment exists.
Practice what you preach or suffer the consequences..

I was the only white kid on my middle school football team. I played defensive tackle and offensive guard. Did I bitch about being called a cracka and having my only carry that season going for -5 yards because no one blocked for me? No. Because if I did those motherfuckers would have jumped me after practice. I kept my head down, played hard, and eventually I received the nickname nigga-cracka. Now that’s progress.

10 years ago at 7:19 pmForget “Assault” charges.
Now that everyone has had a few days to digest it, I sure hope that someone at the FBI or, perhaps an interested young law student at #MIZZOU , starts looking into whether or not the black protesters, #concernedstudents1950 , or any number of the university’s staff and/or faculty (yeah, Melissa Click, I’m referring to you) willfully violated people’s civil rights.
10 years ago at 6:16 pm…it’s all on video.
Ordinarily I would call this a pussy move, but these PC idiots can only be stopped if we turn their own tactics against them.
10 years ago at 9:06 pmGood for him, she needs to be put in her place.
10 years ago at 10:07 pmDid anyone else think about when she got accused of doing something she didn’t get put on leave until the investigation was over, but if a fraternity gets accused of something they do get put on suspension until the investigation is over.
10 years ago at 11:41 pmSweet baby jesus… Click is now saying she felt threatened when the reporter asked to speak with her in the “Safe Zone”.
10 years ago at 8:58 amThis is the difference between civilly adjusted people and these liberals in the BLM movement at these schools. They stand up, moan, and bitch about not getting what they want, whereas the former camp just presses legitimate charges on behalf of the violation of their Constitutional rights. Good shit.
