Michael Vick Finally Shows Remorse For… Being Too Good At Football

Free agent NFL quarterback Michael Vick recently expressed some regret for the savage treatment of defensive players he played against.

From Bleacher Report:

His incredibly strong arm, great speed and dazzling moves made him a nightmare for opposing defenses. He was so talented that he became the most dominant athlete (Madden NFL 2004) in video game history.

While Vick enjoyed his success on the field, he did have moments where he felt bad for defenders—because he was just so unstoppable. The 36-year-old free agent went on The Dan Patrick Show on Monday and admitted as much.

That was the highlight of this entertaining interview, but Vick also discussed his rushing record, the best quarterbacks he ever faced, whether he could beat former teammate Ben Roethlisberger in a race while running backward and much, much more.

Anyone who ever used Vick in Madden ’04 knows just how unstoppable he was in that game. Along with having a cannon for an arm, he was one of the fastest players in the entire game, and it was downright unfair to have to play against him. Still, it seems odd for him to apologize for that when you take into account his deplorable performance for the Jets back in 2014, where he looked lost out there on the field. But alas, the apology may be of some consolation to the many NFL defenders who broke ankles trying to bring him down in the early 2000s.
