So no, this is not a joke. Just a fact of what I have seen of said aspects of greek culture when I have visited chapters in the north and california and arizona. I’m not hating on everyone in those regions and I know you can attest to all the hipsters in fraternities and sororites out there in the west. Im curious to know what schools and fraternities you have visited in California, as seeing you are from North Carolina, (the lesser of the two respective states) it actually strikes my curiosity as to how people across the country know about greek life out here. I’ll repsect that. If you are in California, then I’ve been to Cal Poly, UCLA, USF, and USD. On what I saw there, it wasn’t that fratty. UCLA is probably the most repsectable school I visited there. I’m not saying I go to a fratty school nor am I saying I all the chapters on my campus are fratty. They aren’t. But from what I saw, the bad geedy kids that are in fraternites at my school would look fratty at the likes of the places I’ve visited. I ain’t going to argue with this anymore because it’s not what I do. And if you prove me wrong then so be it. I’m basing everything on my own two eyes. I don’t take grain of salt of what I see on youtube or the internet or by word of mouth.
I can see where your rationale comes from. You visited a christian private school, a liberal arts school, and a very liberal university. As for Cal Poly they will not meet the standards of “fratiness” as potrayed on this website, but they will rage with any SEC “fratstar” which everyone claims to be.
