Those stupid fucking liberals in Wisconsin just can’t face the fact that they lost in November. Fire all the protesting union members and replace them with people who will work. God knows there are plenty of people without jobs right now.

Good teachers aren’t easy to replace. Its not like teaching is unskilled labor. But i do agree that they need to quit bitching and get back to work whether they are “sick” or not.

Uhh he is being a dictator because he is refusing to meet with the unions and state workers even after they said they were willing to take cuts and pay more into pensions, the part they are protesting is Walker taking away collective bargaining rights. What am I spinning? I never said anyone has stopped them from protesting and I agree that more liberals should have voted because then this whole thing would not be happening right now. For the record, Walker never threatened to bring in the National Guard to stop protestors, the only reason he said he would bring them in is if prison guards went on strike.
@tribefan Maybe you should retract your statement. The new deal was nothing but a facade on Government intervention. It was FDR helping the progressive movement gain ground. It was a quick answer but in the end result did more damage to our great nation than any other program, before Barry. One example: If you were an individual business owner and did conform to government mandates set by FDR and the NRA (not the National Rifle Association) with the blue bird, said business was then shut down by bureaucrats, and the owner would have faced possible jail time. Right-to-work is the only way to go. Unions had their day at getting equal and fair wages when the people were being abused, but now that they are run by people like Richard Trumka and Andy Stern. Now they are nothing but socialist institutions hell bent on the destruction of America and bringing the rise of communism to our shores.

The UN says that collective bargaining is a human right. Thats total bullshit, and its really one of the only legs that public unions have to stand on. Most unions are a cancer to the USA. They had their place, and now they are being taken advantage of by people who don’t do their jobs. Being from Wisconsin and going to school in Minnesota, I see coverage of this all the time, and no, not only from FOX. Teachers, the largest opposing group to the legislation, are already paid A LOT of money considering they get some of the best health care, insurance, and other benefits in the state of Wisconsin. Not to mention over 3 months vacation time. Standing around the capital yelling, and giving students extra credit to skip school and do the same isn’t helping their argument. They should be proving to the government that they deserve to keep their collective bargaining rights through test scores, graduation rates, ect. They need to do their jobs, and accept what the state gives them because they are employed by the state, and the state is in a huge deficit right now. Governor Walker’s only options were these restrictions or lay off tens of thousands of public employees. As for Democratic reps walking out of congress and running away from a vote on this legislation, it is a sign of weakness and cowardice, not the bravery that so many liberals credit them for. The whole world is seeing the weakness of these representatives, and half of being great is looking great in the eyes of others, which is why every one of us takes so much pride in the public image of our fraternities. As Vince Lombardi once said, “Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” as far as I can tell, running from your problems doesn’t exhibit much personal commitment.
