Unless you are a post-grad fratter, you are too young to wear a watch like that. Stop your tackiness and embarrassment to the community.

If you are a post grad fratter, get a life and get off TFM.

So you’re a Mexican who stole a white man’s Rolex and wore it to the construction site?

The only way a Rolex looks right is if you are over 50 and its a classic gold presidential and you are wearing it with some sort of formal attire. otherwise, a Rolex is just plain tacky and overdone by geeds. Fortunately, GDIs haven’t figured out what Brietling is yet

We can all tell you didn’t get a Rolex when you graduated high school. Sucks to be poor.

Up next are you going to attempt to justify that your 2003 Tahoe is more frat than a 2011?

Awful lots of new money hipsters wearing dive watches these days. Any of y’all ever heard of a dress watch? Rolex makes nice watches for work, but nothing beats a nice leather strapped Cartier on a night out.

The reason you’re wearing a Rolex while operating a power saw is because the only people who wear Rolexes anymore are middle-upper class building contractors.

    Get a fucking Breitling, geed.

omega is the traditional classy timepiece of old money. brietling is flashy new money… similar to driving an escalade with 24″ spinning rims.

Omega and Breitling are both classy, old-money watch brands (along with several other lesser-known ones).

Rolex is gaudy crap for new money geeds.

Yeah bro, all of those kitchen contractors are buying glacier blue platinum Day-Dates for $30 grand. You fucking idiot.

There are many great watch brands, but Rolex is the king.

Any asshole can walk into a pawn shop and buy a used Rolex for about three grand. They are gaudy, over-produced pieces of crap that do not hold their value like a good watch does. If you think Rolex is a status symbol, you do not belong on this site.

You can buy any brand of watch at a Pawn Shop.

Rolex and Patek hold their value better than any watch in the world. You’re obviously a fucking retard. Go to bed.

Actually a Rolex will hold it value far better than any Briet, or Omega, I own both, but am saving for a Rolex, either a Sea Dweller, or Explorer II.

Never seen any rappers or poor ghetto people wear Breitling. Rolex definitely NF.

Patrick Bateman wasn’t wearing a new money geed Rolex while chasing hookers with his chain saw, he was wearing a Breitling. TFM.

Because you dont know jack-shit about watches, and just nodded your head like a lemming when the shot out ex stripper at jared told you how Tag was the best?

Ok I’m a Postgrad fratter and still find some tfm humor funny, so shoot me. I’m still in the office doing this stupid fucking pitchbook. Anyway, here’s the breakdown: Pateks, Audemars, and Rolexes hold their value the best out of any of the mass produced brands, period. If you want to sell a watch to Tourneau, they will only buy a Patek or Rolex. Breitlings are trade-in/up only. Whether Rolexes are of the best quality is debatable, but people want them and the demand is out there.

Many people say that Panerai’s best days may be behind it, but who knows? I like the Luminor Daylight Chrono. That’s just me. All watchmakers have a variety of styles, Breitling has some classic designs like the Superocean or gaudy shit like Bentley GT.

Bottom line: Buy a watch you like, because your the one who has to wear it.

I’ll admit I might be out of the loop on this one, but would you really consider patek a mass produced brand?

    2. StayFrattyAlum

Let me qualify that, more Rolexes are made in one year than have been in Patek’s entire history. I meant independent/private watchmakers. Sorry for the confusion.
