MIZZOU UPDATE: More Video Of Click Acting Psycho Emerges, University Looks To Remove Her Association With J-School
As the shit continues to pile on top of the Mizzou protestors, it’s worth noting that the protest started out with the noblest of intentions. There’s no place for racism, but the entire thing was so mismanaged, it is now a joke in the eyes of the public – and people like media professor Melissa Click ruined it.
Mark Schierbecker, a student at Missouri who uploaded the first video that showed the sheer insanity of Click, just uploaded the rest of the footage, and homegirl is in top form.
The new footage starts at 7:25.
Wow. She is in her fucking element.
The student reminds her that he is on public property and has every right to be there. She responds in a mocking voice, “Yeah I know, that’s a really good one. I’m a communication faculty and I really get that argument, but you need to go!”
Then, bald dude behind her chimes in, “Sir, you need to respect these people,” to which Schierbecker replies, “I didn’t see you respecting that reporter.”
The reporter he’s referring to, of course, is the journalism student from the first half of the video who was physically shoved away from the site by a crowd of protestors.
Schierbecker eventually retreats after a swarm of protestors edge him out, but he continues to film Click as she marches up and down the line of people, urging the protestors to banish the media in her shrill, crackly voice, her face as red as her hair.
She seems to be very much the ringleader of the blatant disregard for the rights of the student journalists.
Luckily, the university has taken note.
According to the Missourian, the Missouri School of Journalism is voting to “revoke a courtesy appointment for Melissa Click, an assistant professor at the communication school.”
Basically, she teaches communications classes, which fall under a separate school than the journalism classes. If the j-school votes to give her the boot, she will still be able to teach speech and media and shit — she just won’t be able to associate with the real reporting, real journalism classes.
I hope she gets banished from the world of higher education altogether..
Part of the point of going to college is to be exposed to different viewpoints and develop critical thinking… and then there is Melissa Click.

10 years ago at 6:45 pmThis is a huge problem with higher education. Instead of teaching their students on a neutral basis, these professors want to impose their views and ideas on the students
10 years ago at 5:13 pmApparently now the whole poop swastika event is being questioned. No reported witnesses or photographs, and it was reported days later because of a flyer in a residence hall….
10 years ago at 5:20 pmThe Federalist is running a whole piece on how it’s looking like a hoax. Here comes UVA/Rolling Stone all over again.
10 years ago at 5:59 pmThe best part is the student protestors saying the reporters won’t get anything here. I don’t think there’s a shortage of content to report on anymore.
10 years ago at 5:36 pmSome people just need a good ass kicking.
10 years ago at 5:37 pmThat chick at the end with the “media stay off the grass” sign is such a dumb bitch. All of this is fucking ridiculous, and they’re treating it like it’s their private space, can’t wait to see them get uprooted.
