Movie 43 Coming Out On DVD In All Its Ridiculous Glory

The sketch comedy film Movie 43 wasn’t what you would call a “well reviewed” film. Then again, when a film’s trailer opens with Anna Farris asking her on screen boyfriend (and real life husband) to take a dump on her, I’m not exactly expecting critical acclaim. What’s that? A film that makes fun of blind children isn’t as nuanced as The Artist? Shocker. I don’t care, because any time Emma Stone admits to blowing a wizard who might have been a hobo, I’m going laugh, so everyone can lighten the hell up.

Movie 43 is absolutely packed to the brim with A-List talent. It’s honestly ridiculous.

Tony Shalhoub!?! There’s something for everyone! Though Movie 43 probably isn’t a movie you pop in when a girl comes over, unless she likes getting dumped on, then Movie 43 might be relatable. Still leave the girl baiting to Pixar films, because nothing gets a chick hornier than the first five minutes of Up. “You could be my husband one day but I’ll die and we’ll be apart and it will be super sad we have to embrace every moment of life make love to me NOW!” Rather, Movie 43 is EXACTLY the type of movie I want to pop in while I’m hammered drunk and devouring a pizza before passing out and missing class the next day. Watching Liev Schrieber haze his home schooled son is something I can get on board with pretty much whenever. The movie is funny, quick, and able to be stopped and started at my leisure. It’s hard to a imagine a better formula for a late night drunk film.
