NCAA Confirms Belief That College Lacrosse And Ice Hockey Players Binge Drink More Than Other Student-Athletes

In other news, water is wet.

Lax and hockey leading the charge of student-athlete binge drinking is the least shocking thing I have ever heard. If you want a quick example of how hockey players get after it, just look at all the videos coming out of Capitals players after they won the Stanley Cup. Those dudes are animals, and it’s amazing. That ability to throw down doesn’t just come to you automatically when you get to the show; you get it from college and/or juniors. And lax? No-brainer.

Drinking is a huge part of the culture of both lacrosse and hockey. The chemistry with the boys or girls in both sports is unlike any other, and that’s definitely at least partly because getting drunk with your team is a critical part of what it means to be a player.

The least shocking thing about this list is that track is at the bottom of the men’s category with only 27% of athletes binge drinking. This proves that track is the least fun sport on earth. You literally just run for short or extended periods of time; what a nightmare that is. How can these guys not want to put toxins in their bodies after that shit? Makes me not trust ’em; sketches me out.
