NCAA Tweets About Giving Athletes Free Wifi In Hotels, Internet Has Field Day

Last night, the NCAA decided to put to rest any notion that they don’t take care of their players. Worried that folks might not think they are giving them what they need to succeed, they tweeted about giving all the players free WiFi at the team hotels during March Madness. Probably something every hotel offers anyway.

Oh, wow! The NCAA figured it all out. Paying players? Fuck that. How about free fucking WIFI?! The NCAA knows that kids these days are tethered to their Instagrams/Facebooks/Twitters, so why not pay them back with a great internet connection so they can upload all those dope photos.

Of course the tweet was going to set off a chain reaction.

But my favorite one of them all is…

#Racism.

    To the #racism guy,

    White people play sports too.

    Sincerely,
A white person who hasn’t played a sport since high school

This is why you play golf. It lets me confidently deceive myself into believing if I dropped my full time job and golfed full time I could make it. But not enough that I actually do it.

Lap me all you want, but this shit is ridiculous. We all know how expensive college/living is now days…scholarship athletes get that for free, if that isn’t getting paid/compensated then I don’t know what is

Don’t most hotels already have free Wi-Fi? What’d the NCAA do to make it freer…?
