Newbie 999s are FaF

SOUTH CAROLINA—Despite president John F. Kennedy’s unfortunate political views, his lifestyle is deserving of the highest degree of respect. Inspired by JFK’s love for sailing, Boston-based New Balance created the New Balance 999 “The Kennedy”.

The new shoe contains an attractive selection of multi-colored suede and a nautical flag tongue. While a bit louder than the traditional 993s, The Kennedy will make an excellent addition to any high-class wardrobe.

The New Balance 999s will be available for purchase this March 2011, just in time for sailing season (unless your Dad can get them sooner).

I love JFK, but these are disrespectful to him. They’re def NF, and I feel like GDIs wouldn’t even like them. So sad!

I am going to go out on a limb and say that, with a few exceptions (Ed Hardy, Affliction, cargo shorts, etc.), how you wear what you wear contributes a great deal more to your frattiness than what exact model of a certain brand’s product you are wearing. Will I wear these? No. Do they deserve to be classified as GDI… eh, probably not. In the end, they’re a damn pair of shoes.

  5. sratin' is a habit

These shoes are geriatric…they might as well have velcro straps instead of shoe strings. Ew.

I could see some late 80s-early 90s fratters rockin’ these. May not be the most conservative of items to put in your fratdrobe, but hey, neither are crazy-colored Brooks Brothers pants or wacky Hawaiian shirts, which are both arguably Fratty.
