If you drop 90 grand on a Nissan, then just move to japan you GDI. The GT-R is fast, but it looks like a Hyundai Tiburon that just came out of a Chinatown Chop Shop.
If you want a v8, pony up for Italian or German, or go home. American boats are gay, boring, and slow. I’ll take my Porsche over any muscle car all day long.
FrozenFrat….Porche uses turbo 6’s, Italians use V10s and 12’s for their sports cars. A few Maserati’s, Ferrari’s, and Alfa Romeo’s use 8s but thats not the standard. The point of this TFM was to say that its more fun to have a powerful driver’s car (without all the lame-ass GDI driving aids) than to cruise around in a “nice classy” car. Thanks for playin.
I’ve heard plenty of quasi-GDI frattards say their tahoe was superior to my 911 because “your car doesn’t have a v8 brah it’s so slow”, I thought this was one of those.
Porsches uses 6’s…… but the only italian car that currently has a v10 is the gallardo/LP560. the majority of ferraris/maseratis are V8s (355, 360, 430, 458). the only current V12 ferraris are the 612 and 599, which are made in such limited production compared to the 430/458
Actually, I don’t think it’s a dealer installed factory option. Regardless, that’s the way my dad bought it and I’ve babied her since. Does nayone know how this works? I know it’s not aftermarket.
there are plenty of vehicles with v6’s that are worth violating the speed limit in, haven’t you heard of the GT-R?
14 years ago at 3:26 pmTrue, but it is more fun in something with more then 8 cylinders.
14 years ago at 3:44 pmTwin turbo v-6 that makes 485hp. NF
650hp big block Chevy with no power adders. FAF

14 years ago at 3:50 pmYeah but who wants a jap trash can when you can have top end American muscle at that price point and more cyclenders.

14 years ago at 3:42 pmExcept most newer cars with V8’s only use 6 cylinders until reach a certain RPM
14 years ago at 4:37 pmNo .. they switch to only using 4 cylinders on the highway .. unless your goin down the highway you are using all 8.

14 years ago at 2:00 pm04 Silverado LT 4×4 5.7L “but they didn’t make a five-seven for that model” Yes they did, it’s called a dealer installed factory option, geed.

14 years ago at 12:43 pmThey stopped making the 5.7l (350) in 1999 if I remember right. Your truck would have either a 4.8l, 5.3l, or 6.0l if it was a v8.
14 years ago at 2:32 amMy last V6 went in a corn field at 140. The current one I drive to work at 100 most days – long as traffic isn’t bad. Not knowing shit about cars = NF
