Luck not taking the money, and staying in college another year. NF. His coach bailing on his geed ass for the big bucks in the NFL. TFM.

Why would anyone want to leave college early? Passing up $40 million to rage for a year. FaF

Are you a fucking moron? With 40 million he can rage all the fuck he wants. He still has to go to class and play football at Stanford, but doesn’t get to be a millionaire.

Well, for starters, yours wasn’t funny. Secondly, in the United States, we don’t spell it “whisky,” so you look like an uneducated hick.

Sorry Dixie but you’re wrong. Everyone knows the oldest and most pure distilleries leave the “e” out of Whisky as a testament/ode of respect to their Scottish heritage. Leave it to a woman to not know her booze. I”ll take a Rueben on rye with a Roy Rogers please.

Well, whisky is Irish whiskey. “Whiskey” includes bourbon, scotch, and whisky.

    4. Fratanomics

Fail on anonymous there. Canadian, Scotch, and Makers = whisky. Most American and Irish = whiskey. I have no idea why Makers spells it whisky, but Makers is FaF and can do pretty much whatever they want

I don’t know if I could take 40 million to play for the Panthers either.

Whatever, the man is staying to complete his education. FaF. He’s going to make that 40 million whether it was this year or next.

Not if he blows out his knee. Then he has to be an engineer for the rest of his life.

His dad is the AD at West Virginia and his family is one of the wealthiest in the Stratford area of Houston. He is doing what his dad is telling him so he can get his money, how is that any different than you or me. TFM

Sam Bradford messed his shoulder up and still went number 1. Also he’s not a engineer he’s an architect major. Not knowing what you are talking about. NF

The $40 million he is passing on is based on the difference in what he would have made going #1 this year with no rookie cap and what he would make going #1 next year once they cap rookie salaries. Call it what you want, passing on $40 million is just flat out stupid.

His coach isn’t going for the “big bucks”. 5 Mil a year with the 49’ers, when he would have been paid more at Stanford(close to 7 a year)

14 years ago at 4:47 am
    1. bro theismann

stanford has a rule where the coach cannot get paid more than like 1.6 million a year. there isnt a single college coach making more than 6. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/09/the-highest-paid-college-football-coaches_n_794387.html#s202436&title=Nick%20Saban%2C%20University%20of%20Alabama
the stat your looking for is that miami would have gone that high. and because your an idiot i have to specify that it’s not the U, but the dolphins. get your shit right.

The highest paid coach at the college level is Mack brown who makes close to 5 million a year. Stanford, an academic school, would pay nowhere near that, let alone 7 mil. Writing something incorrect just to refute a point. NF

14 years ago at 5:39 pm
    3. BroNamath

He was offered 7-8 mil by the dolphins; that is the money he turned down. Stanford definitely can’t pay 7mil for a football coach when they can’t fill a 40k person stadium. The only time it was sold out last year was when they played USC.

I personally know Andrew Luck and I grew up with him. The kid is one of the smartest people I have ever met and probably the most athletic. He could have gone anywhere to play football but decided to go to Stanford. He picked Stanford because the university is a very academically prestigous school. He wanted to get a good degree and play football and Stanford offered that.

Also money does not matter to him, whatever he does in life is what makes him happiest, whether it is playing pro ball or getting a job somewhere. All I know is that the kid is going to be successful with whatever he does in life.
