Oregon Militia Leaves Trenches Of Shit On Native American Artifacts

For the better part of six weeks, a group of militarized, anti-government protesters spent their time occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. The incident started when two ranchers were imprisoned due to the fact that fires, which they started, spread and burned federal property that was nearby. To most people, this seems like a pretty common forgone conclusion: you burn federal property, you go to jail. The gang, led by brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy, had differing views on this matter.

During their six-week takeover of the wildlife refuge, the protesters spent their time clashing with authorities, planting explosives throughout the area, destroying private property, and pooping in trenches that oh so coincidentally happened to be located on sacred burial grounds of the Burns Paiute Native American Tribe.

According to Gawker.com:

FBI agents investigating the scene of the Oregon wildlife reserve occupation this week found a trench full of “significant amounts of human feces” that was apparently left by Ammon Bundy’s band of anti-government militants. According to a court filing reported by Reuters, the shit hole was either on top of or next to ‘grounds containing sensitive artifacts’ of the Burns Paiute Native American Tribe.

While the protesters have since abandoned their efforts, I honestly cannot think of a better way to demonstrate your hatred for the American government and its justice system than taking over a largely abandoned wildlife reserve and literally shitting on historical Native American artifacts. Nicely done, fellas.

A: They did not shit on artifacts. They started pissing and shitting outside on grounds that contain artifacts, likely the result of the Feds cutting power and water to the building.

B: Being charged as a terrorist and sent to prison for 5 years for burning less than 200 acres twice over a 15 year period does sound a bit excessive.

Not saying what they did was necessary or that shitting on Native burial mounds is cool in any way BUT, the forming of militias when the federal government oversteps its boundaries is constitutionally sound.

These guys felt like the feds were using their power to unfairly punish an old man and his son so instead of going to interest groups they picked up their arms and said fuck it.

The fact that the disdain for these guys is so prevalent on this site is, frankly, kind of disturbing and sad.

Honestly couldn’t agree more. If you read into this (from multiple sources) there was a fair amount of unconstitutional government encroachment by our government. Not saying I support them but standing up for your God given rights is what being an American is all about

When a bunch of white guys take over land that was stolen from them, FBI kills 1 and arrests many more. Blacks raid pharmacy stores, loot and steal in Baltimore and everyone apologizes for racism. What a world we live in.
