I’m a few days late seeing this, but I’m damned proud to be an American. I’m currently raising a beer to this fine Seal. #1 rule: around me, every veteran drinks for free. RIP to a hero
For those of you that don’t know what this man did, he died in operation Red Wing. He lead a 4 man seal team behind enemy lines and after letting a sheep herder live, the herder went ahead and alerted the Taliban of their location. Under fire Murphy ran into a field to make a phone call for help. The rescue team was shot down and Marcus Luttrell was the only survivor out of the four man team made up of Lt. Michael Murphy, Petty Officer Second Class Danny Dietz and Petty Officer Second Class Matthew Axelson. He was awarded the Medal of Honor. If you don’t know what that means, leave this country.

14 years ago at 3:57 pmA true American hero. Rest in peace soldier. “Step forward now, you soldier, You’ve borne your burdens well,
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets, You’ve done your time in Hell.”
