PGA Tour Pros Are Fighting Over Drake On Twitter

We’re in quite the era for golf. The young guns are out there making noise, Tiger is single and probably on a next level tear, and we’re in the eye of a raging storm that I call Hurricane Spieth. Great times all around. But don’t get it twisted, guys: The Tour is still a dangerous place.

That’s right, we’ve got professionals out here beefing on Twitter. Apparently, three-time All-American and former Hooters Tour great Will Wilcox likes to bump a little Drake on the driving range. According to Golf Channel, PGA pro Brendan Steele took exception to Wilcox bump and runnin’ through the 6 with his woes on the range at the Travelers Championship last week. No headphones? That’s bold.

It appears that Steele may have snitched on Wilcox, and then this greatness happened:

I recommend going back and reading all of those tweets in full DMX voice. You have to respect the casual “Dog” bomb as well as the #whatisthismiddleschool. I’m no Tour insider (yet), but I can’t imagine it’s completely normal to blast any music without headphones. That still doesn’t excuse Steele’s alleged snitching. Maybe he just thinks Drake’s a little soft and prefers something with more edge as he works on flop shots.

Who knows if Steele snitched or not, but if I were him, I’d watch my back in the locker room. Shit’s getting real.

At first I thought the title was implying they were fighting over Drake the person, sort of in a bitter homosexual love triangle.

Lose-Lose for both guys. A snitch who fears confrontation and
some clown who plays drake on the range. Music with no headphones would get you removed from the driving range at my country club, no idea how he thought that would be ok on the PGA tour.

Because he’s a professional athlete making millions of dollars for himself and his sponsors while your in Highschool. That’s the difference.

My point was there’s an even higher standard for him. PGA tour players are required to wear pants even if it’s 100 degrees and a lot of nice courses won’t even let you have a phone on you. Drake on the driving range isn’t ok, and the better players on tour would never do it. It’s a gentleman’s game.
And yes it’s my dad’s membership, my summer job won’t exactly cover a club membership. But I’ve seen grown men who pay members dues asked to leave the the range because of attire or behavior. Having money isn’t an excuse to act like a clown, and there are a lot of guys who are loaded that I wouldn’t want near me on a golf course (Dan Bilzerian and whoever this obscure tour player is being great examples).

What’s a word that rhymes with blunt?
    Eminem: Confront
    Snoop Dogg: Blunt
    Lil’ Wayne: Nigga
    Drake: Bicycle

Are you sure this isn’t two male pornstars fighting on twitter? Steele and Wilcox?

I find it funny that Grandex got rid of the forums just to pay “professional writers” to make articles about stuff that should be in the forums.
