BREAKING: Insane Video Shows Tuscaloosa Police Pulling Guy From Apartment, Tasing, Beating Him

Details surrounding the below encounter with Tuscaloosa PD are sure to start leaking, but at this point, we have basically zero context.

What is apparent, however, is that the man seen being tased and beaten after getting ripped out of an apartment doesn’t appear to be resisting arrest. At all. According to the tweet, the police arrived due to a noise complaint. Again, though, we have no way of confirming the validity of this claim.

But damn.

At one point in the video, you can see the victim holding his hands up in an “I’m not fucking resisting” gesture as he is being tased. Soon after, the baton comes out (could be a flashlight – hard to tell) and he is taking a beating as the glow of the taser is still seen flickering.

A second video has emerged, as well, allegedly showing the beginning of the incident from inside the apartment.

We’ll update the story as details emerge.

UPDATE: Two more videos emerge.

The first video shows the extended version of the sequence of events leading up to the arrests. The second is from the perspective of the female in the video. She is recording as she’s slammed to the ground and cuffed.

UPDATE 2: Victim identified as Brandon Williford, a Sigma Chi at the University of Alabama.

Williford was charged with harassment, obstruction, and resisting arrest.

This is the problem with Police forces. Many officers join just to be thugs in a uniform and think they are above the law. These same police officers are not intelligent enough to understand the laws that govern society. Pay police officers better and we would get better people as officers and see many less problems from them.

Doesn’t matter what the cops were called for. Without a warrant they can’t go into the apartment. ThIs police action is not justifiable.

Not entirely true. If they are doing s welfare check or if they see illicit activity inside they do not need a warrant.

If you were an intelligent person you would comply with the police in this situation and not be a dickhead. Even if the cops are being irrational, respectfully do what they say to appease them then have coherent and level headed discourse with them afterwards. This is the biggest problem we have between cops and citizens today. We need to learn to be diplomatic and only question authority if it is in the most respectful way possible. Cops have tough jobs most of the time and I often would trust a cops judgment over a drunk college kid. Don’t get me wrong, the taser and beating was COMPLETELY unnecessary and I am most definitely not the biggest fan of Tuscaloosa PD. But we see this continuously in the media. A lot of this could be avoided by simply doing what they say and then questioning it afterwards. And Jesus H Christ, put a fucking cork in it Caroline.

A lot of you are way off here. The video starts with the cop already some what touching the guy. Something happened. If the guy was outside the door when this started and the officer attempted to place him under arrest, the officer doesn’t need a warrant. You can’t run into your house and be immune from an arrest that had already started.

The author of this article is completely incorrect saying he did not resist. I heard the officer say more than once he was under arrest. He resisted by pulling away and not following instructions. That is the definition of resisting. Otherwise he would have already been arrested.

The girl and other guy 100% interfered with the arrest and committed obstruction. It is funny some of these kids think they know their rights when they have no clue. Why doesn’t the video show anything that happened before that point? Something escalated the event to that.

That being said, the cop could have brought the situation down to a more calm level. 5 to 10 college kids screaming at an officer isn’t a way to calm things down.
