I’m from the South and hang a confederate flag in my room but not because I think the South should be a different country but because it shows the courage of a people to rise up against too much government.

Their role was solely based on infiltrating beaches, gathering geographic intel, and prepping them for the main invasion force. Used nearly exclusively in the Pacific theater and only after the huge fuckup that was the Tarawa landing(men getting hungup on coral and mowed down etc.) The SEAL program started right before Vietnam.
