I respect Rex Ryan for saying that. I don’t know why anyone feels the need to tell someone after he lost that he’s worse than the other guy. Especially when the person speaking isn’t qualified to speak on it. It’s one thing if Belichick said he was a better coach than Ryan, but even then it would be an unsportsmanlike thing to say. He doesn’t need to say it.
If asked if I thought Ryan or Belichick was a better coach I would say that Belichick has had a more successful career, but it doesn’t rest purely on the coach whether the team wins or loses the games.
