Rougned Odor Is Getting Treated Like Royalty Ever Since Punching Joey Bats In The Jaw

On Sunday afternoon, Rougned Odor threw the punch heard ’round the world when he was quicker to the draw than José Bautista in the now infamous brawl. In any place not named Toronto, Odor is being hailed as a hero for doing what everyone wishes they themselves could’ve done.

In Texas, they are, of course, honoring him in proper fashion. The Frisco Roughriders will start selling Rougie’s Red Punch at concessions on Friday, which is a drink that contains fruit punch, an energy drink, and rum. Heim’s BBQ in Fort Worth is honoring Odor in an even better way.

The owner of Heim Barbecue, which is set to open next month in Fort Worth, is offering Odor free food forever.

“We just thought it would be a funny thing if we Rougie free food because he wasn’t the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year, so you know, it’s kind of a justice, a little bit,” said owner Travis Heim.

Now, I have had the pleasure of stopping in at Heim’s food truck before they closed up shop to concentrate on building their new restaurant. And let me tell you — it is damn good, so Odor is getting one hell of a deal. If you think about it, Rougie could essentially flame out of the MLB, spend all his money, and STILL put food on the table every day.

What a hero..
