Gregg Popovich Fat Shames Boris Diaw During Games

When Diaw entered the NBA, he was a 6’9″, 220-pound shooting guard who could handle the ball well. Since then, he’s grown into a 6’9″, 250-pound forward/center. That’s quite the jump in BMI. Pop has noticed the weight gain in his role player over the years and thinks he may be a little on the chubby side, so he took matters into his own hands of getting him in shape.

From Sports Illustrated:

“Sometimes we’re up 30,” Diaw says, “and he’s like, ‘I’m just going to leave you on the court so you can lose some weight.’”

Now that’s a coach you want to play for. Not only is he worried about winning, but he’s worried about your overall health. Pop knows that it’s pretty damn expensive to get fat. He understands the increased health care costs and how being fat can take years off your life, effect your joints, and all that shit.

And people say fat shaming is wrong..
