Sex Therapist Has Hottest Take On Campus Sexual Assault, Says Women Can't Say No To Sex Once Naked In Bed

I don’t know much about Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Apparently, she is a popular sex therapist and has been giving advice on sex for longer than I have been alive. With that much experience in the sex game, she had a few thoughts on the Diane Rehm Show Monday about campus sexual assault. It’s definitely not what you’d expect unless you read the title of this article.

From the show’s transcript:

I know it’s controversial, but for your program, I’m going to stand up and be counted and, like I do in the book, be very honest. I am very worried about college campuses saying that a woman and a man or two men or two women, but I talk right now about woman and man, can be in bed together, Diane, and at one time, naked, and at one time, he or she — most of the time they think she can say, I changed my mind. No such thing is possible.

She went on to Twitter to say that she does not support rape, but still stood behind her comments.

As the resident therapist (I am not a licensed therapist. I only practice my skills on the impressionable females and pledges), I don’t know what exactly goes on in the mind of two people when they are naked in bed. I can only make an estimated guess that the two parties were wanting to bump uglies.

It’s a hot take from a seasoned pro in the field of sex. What do you guys think about it?

This view makes way too much sense to ever be accepted by any other women

The fact that women believe that they can say “I changed my mind, fuck you this is rape” and screw the guy over is rediculous. Finally, someone on our side.

You must be either 19, an idiot, or both. Any person, man or woman, can change their mind about ANYTHING at ANY TIME. If a woman is in bed with you and changes her mind, you need to man up and understand from where she’s coming. Anything short of that is really toeing, if not crossing, the rape line. Now, when women falsely accuse men of rape, that is wrong. But they are well within their rights to change their mind at any time and you need to respect that and abide by their decision. Try empathizing with them and you might realize that what I’m saying is accurate.

While obviously people can change their mind about stuff, it’s not uncommon to hear about people (both men and women) who change their mind DURING sex. Penetration has already occurred, and even if the other person stops immediately, it is still legally viewed as rape. Which can be fucked up. If nothing has happened yet, I don’t care if a girl is buck ass nude, she can leave if she wants. No one has any right to stop her or coerce her to stay. But since it apparently counts if they decide to leave during the act (again, their choice to dip out early), there has to be some responsibility for proceeding in the first place.

I completely agree that both parties need to be responsible for their actions, but I think the issue here is that women can’t change their minds because they owe men an orgasm just because they started having sex.

Now that is a gray area. If the act appears to be consensual for both parties, but afterward the girl regrets it and calls it rape- that would be problematic for myself as well. That’s where the whole equal responsibility thing kicks in.

This is spot on. It can be akin to what that crazy chick in Gone Girl did to her ex-boyfriend. (Not NPH, the one Ben Affleck spoke to in the bar). I have an ‘aqutance’ who had something similar happen to him. He had been having 100% consensual intercourse with a girl (FWB through Tinder) for several months, and then one day she claimed she had been raped. This just so happened to coincide with her being a few months behind on her car and credit card payments. She received a large settlement, and my aquatance’s life was completely and 100% ruined. Just the Gone Girl guy, he can’t even get a job much less a girlfriend. UVA and Duke Lacrosse being perfect examples, women can have far too much power when alleging rape. Not that any time it’s alleged it shouldn’t be seriously looked into, it 110% should be. But it can often seem to be a case of guilty until proven innocent, which is the opposite of what the American justice system is supposed to be.

I agree with and support your statement wholeheartedly, and I will gladly accept the required laps, but *acquaintance

Listen Old Hickory, Jack Dawson was lower class scum who outkicked his coverage with a chick in the social elite; give him a break on his spelling.

At my first college’s freshman orientation we were told by our head of student life that, if accused of raping a girl, the school would treat us as guilty until proven innocent

I wonder how long until feminists find her, call her a heretic, a witch, and burn her at the stake. She probably doesn’t have long.

I agree with her statement that “women should not get in bed, naked, with men they don’t want to have sex with”. That’s just basic knowledge all girls with good parents should know. However, if a girl decides to get in bed and be naked with a dude, she is not required to climb that baloney pony, in my humble opinion.
