Referring to your left and right as port and starboard. TFM.

This is dumb. Land has no bow to reference, what happens when you turn around or reference port to somebody facing you?

That comment was dumb. A body of water has no “bow to reference” either. I would assume that facing forward would naturally mean that your front side is bow and backside is stern. If you referenced an object to your port side to someone who is facing you, it would be to their starboard side, just as on a pair of boats facing each other.

You dick is your front, your back is your stern, your left side is port and your right side is starboard. When you’re banging a girl you’re mooring to her berth.

And like Fratting said, never piss into the wind.

Knowing proper nautical terms makes you FaF. Using them on land just makes you a douchebag.

To be fair, I have called the front of my car the bow and the back the stern on multiple occasions completely inadvertently. When you race sailboats weekly and you’re in school for naval architecture, its a reasonable slip.
