Superhuman Michael Phelps Is Really Effing Good At Golf Too

Michael Phelps, the man with 21 gold medals and counting, is definitely from some other planet. Not only is the American swimmer the most decorated Olympian in history, but he’s also the record-holder for the longest successful putt ever televised. I’ll let you decided which accomplishment is more impressive.

Phelps hit the incredible shot during the pro-am of the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

If you’re keeping score at home that ball traveled for a solid 17 seconds before dropping. Phelps could’ve swam the length of the Pacific Ocean, punched North Korea in its stupid face, and swam back before it fell.

Phelps, at the time, was fresh off competing in the 2012 London Olympics where he medaled six times (four gold, two silvers). Clearly he still had some competitive juices running through his veins, because that putt is straight stupid.

The 53-yard eagle putt is without a doubt impressive. However, Jack Nicklaus’ 102-foot putt will always and forever be my favorite “long putt.”

The amount of shit-talking before he drills the shot is a proverbial middle finger, and it’s amazing.

I’m happy Phelps has got a nice fallback after the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, though. He’s a legend in the pool just like how Harambe was a legend in the animal kingdom. God, I miss Harambe so fucking much. RIP Harambe..
