Survivor Of Paris Attacks Posts Chilling Firsthand View On Facebook

Last Friday, the city of Paris was rocked by terrorism when ISIS massacred more than 120 innocent people and left 352 more injured. The worst of the attacks was at the Bataclan concert venue where American rock band, the Eagles of Death Metal, was performing. It was a sad reminder that there are people out there who want to see the world burn and will kill those opposed to their views.

One of the survivors from the Bataclan was 22-year-old Isobel Bowdery, who was in the center of the venue when the attacks happened. She took to Facebook to post a touching story of what unfolded on that dark night.

you never think it will happen to you. It was just a friday night at a rock show. the atmosphere was so happy and…

Wow. That’s amazing that she had the wherewithal to pretend to be dead in such a chaotic time.

Isis is to Muslims as The KKK is to Christianity. The extreme crazies. Your everyday Muslim is even more pissed than we are right now, because they have to deal with the backlash and hatred from ignorant assholes like your dumbass right now.

You’re fucking high. Much better like 9/11 there is zero Muslim outrage. They just don’t care, even the “moderate” ones. It’s the culture that breeds these animals.
When we fought against the Nazis was it just some Germans were bad or were ALL Germans bad? Were some Japanese bad or were ALL Japanese bad?
Islam has no place in Western society and to assume that these savages are “peaceful” is utterly ridiculous.

And you want to say that there is zero Muslim outrage? Let alone the fact that the primary forces opposing ISIS are Muslims, Muslims have protested every single terrorist attack since and including 9/11. But of course you wouldn’t know that since you seem to have done zero research on the subject. Are Muslim extremists dangerous? Yes. Just as Christian and Jewish extremists are, which by the way have killed more American civilians since the 9/11 attacks in 2001 than Muslim terrorists by far. Learn your shit or get out.

Jew and Christians have killed more Americans than Muslims? Has a Jew or a Christian strapped an explosive vest to their body and detonated in a public setting? Are Jews or Christians slaugtheing innocent civilians in the name of Allah? Do we behead those for being gay or on accusations of sorcery? Do we burn down places of worship? Have Jews or Christians launched a global campaign of terror? Please tell me where all these attacks by Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. occur.

Just as you claim that “radical” Islam doesn’t represent the whole, a group of Muslims protesting does not represent the whole. The Muslims opposing ISIS is nothing new – Muslims have been fighting among themselves since Mohammad died. Hell, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that all that matters is that their form of Islam is dominant. If they agreed with ISIS theology they would probably join them, but as soon as ISIS is gone they’ll be fighting the Kurds, the Shi’ites, or the Sunnis.

Dornos_Parole_Officer isn’t wrong strictly speaking. Sure there are a few Muslims here and there who oppose this stuff, but that ignores the fact that huge numbers of Muslims do support the aims of ISIS, mainly the imposition of sharia law. I mean, 27% of young people in France and 16% overall support ISIS. Why? Because they are Muslim and ISIS kind of reflects their views. I think people are going to have to just wake up and realize that while not all Muslims are bad or crazy, Islam interpreted literally is pretty fucking crazy, an no amount of “understanding” or diversity initiatives are going to change that.

Agreed. But then again, the Bible has some stuff that when taken literally can seem just as fucked up – i.e., God condemning the Israelites for not killing every single one of the Philistines after they had won the battle

The difference between the Bible and the Quran is that the Bible is a recollection of God’s commands – they recorded it after the fact. The Quran instructs its believers to go out and kill. The Quran and the rest of the holy documents call Muslims to go to war.

Quran (9:29) – “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”

Quran (9:30) – “And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”

Quran (9:88) – “But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper.”

Bukhari (52:177) – Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”

Abu Dawud (14:2526) – The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, “There is no god but Allah” and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal

Quran (66:9) – “O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey’s end.

Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them” No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.

Quran (8:15) – “O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey’s end.”

Quran (4:104) – “And be not weak hearted in pursuit of the enemy; if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain…

Quran (4:95) – “Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward

Quran (4:74) – “Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.

Quran (2:191-193) – “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]… but if desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”

I’m Muslim and I can tell you that each of these verses were revealed in a very specific context. Just too even things out.
        Bible verses about killing

        Deuteronomy 17
If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
Hosea 13:16 – Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
Exodus 21:12-14 – He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
NUMBERS 31:17-18 kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

        Deuteronomy 13 6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you … Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.

Bible verses about love and tolerance

Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

John 8:13 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Quran verses about love and tolerance.
You cannot guide those you would like to but God guides those He wills. He has best knowledge of the guided. (Holy Quran/28: 56)

“O You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of satan. He is an outright enemy to you.” (Holy Quran: 2, 208)

“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48)

“God does not love corruption”. (Surat al-Baqara, 205)

As a Muslim-American (and a member of a fraternity), you are absolutely correct. The average Muslim absolutely hates these bastards and what they preach is in no way connected to what Islam teaches (and I say this coming from a “conservative” Muslim household).

Also, if y’all are saying there’s been no condemnation from Muslims, you are either ignorant or choosing not to look. The Islamic Society of North America released a statement within a few hours of the incident. I follow several Muslim scholars on Facebook and every one of them released statements condemning these attacks. You won’t see that on Fox or CNN though, because, you know, all Muslims are terrorists.

People constantly point out that Islam’s teachings are based on violence. ISIS picks and chooses what verses from the Quran they want to follow, without knowing context or the situation to where they were applied. It’s like saying Christians want to commit genocide because of the Bible verse, “And utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.”

Fuckin right. If I knew that enlisting would have me on the ground in Syria in less than a year I would in a heartbeat.

What pisses me off the most about this, is that those people were just living their everyday lives. Attending a concert, a sporting event, or even just out on a date. And some crazy “Aloha Sncakbar” mother fuckers come around and rip that away from them. Away from them, and away from their families. Nothing, no religious craze, no hatred, nothing. Gives you the right to take away the potential, the years, the happiness and even the sadness those people would’ve experienced in the however many years they had left in their lives.

A friend and I had this conversation the other day. He said he would drop out and join the military if we were to go to war with these assholes. I asked him why he didn’t join now. He said that there was no point in joining if our leadership was too scared or too sympathetic to Islam to act. We need real leadership in this country so men of action can have direction and a clear enemy. Pandering to Radical Islamist so they don’t get offended is one of the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen a president do.

I’ll probably get lapped for this, but the civilians of that region hate ISIS just as much if not more than we do. Why should we deny them sanctuary just because they were born in the same place as those rat fucks?

I feel for the, and some of them hate ISIS more than we do. However, they also aren’t huge fans of American culture either. The other thing is that a ton of them are unskilled labor who would eat away at the welfare system, and drag the economy down further. The other issue at play is that the vetting process of who comes in is awful. So how do we fix it? One, try to find the diamonds in the rough who will come here and contribute to society as valued citizens. Two, wage all-out war on ISIS, unseat Assad, and set up a working government in Syria, unlike what Obama abandoned in Iraq.

10 years ago at 11:21 am
      2. AFSkeeter

I agree most Syrians hate ISIS probably more than we do and we need to take advantage of that hatred. If instead of helping them to run away for a better life, what if we trained and equipped them to fight back. What if we helped them take back their country and setup a new government? That is one of the most difficult things to do as a military (and we have failed before by not fully committing to help them) but not impossible and in my book a better option than helping them to flee and giving up ground to those crazy ISIS bastards. It’s almost like how we should be helping the poor in this country: instead of giving them handouts and perpetuating the system help them pull themselves up, but the Syria problem is just more grave consequences on a larger scale.

10 years ago at 1:39 pm
      3. TokenAlphaBro

1.”Hating ISIS” isnt good enough of a reason to give anyone a free-ticket to America. Living in poverty isn’t either. If you truly believe that those two are good enough to warrant free entry into this country then you really should have no reason whatsoever to deny that everyone in the world should be given free entry as well.Borders exist for a reason and they don’t just magically go away whenever a bleeding-heart wants them gone. What’s your solution anyway? Should we be encouraging mass exodus whenever a country is struggling financially or politically? Because if you’re pro this particular exodus then you haven’t got any kind of ground to oppose another hypothetical mass exodus from literally any other third world country out there. I mean i don’t know if you’re aware of this or not,but according to people like you, 80% of the world(the third-world) could put forward a case for moving anywhere they’d like into the first world, because like you know “poverty and MUH feels”
        2. You haven’t been following the syrian crisis closely to be entitled to an opinion. The majority pouring into europe come from refugee camps in turkey,Lebanon etc(therefore, they’re not refugees but economic migrants). Roughly half aren’t even Syrians( i.e. pakistanis can purchase syrian passports because they’re offered by the Syrian government and they’re fairly cheap)….
        3. Assuming that you genuinely hate america and want to flood it with whoever because you’ve got that many feels and all that…what about syria? How is that country ever going to recover or heal from being drained of human resources on such a massive scale? And what about the fact that majority of those leaving are men(70% according to statistics)?Who’ll fight ISIS then….
It truly pains me to see how this website has become so infested with leftoids.

Do they hate ISIS much more than we do? If that were true, and they were in the majority, why wouldn’t they pick up some guns and fight back?

If the US had a faction of home-grown terrorists within our borders we would find them, and kill them. The fact is most of them hate Western culture at least a little bit for their decadence, and don’t mind seeing Americans and French people killed.

The US government’s job is not to act as a global police and welfare force for everyone that is having trouble in the world. Our forefathers built it for their children to live in a better place than the other people of the world, whose cultures prevented them from being able to create a place like this on their own. And it continues to exist to serve the American people. If there really isn’t any difference in the people in countries around the world, countries would serve no purpose.

The people and the culture make the country. Not the land and laws.

Not that I’m an Obama fan (cause I sure as shit ain’t). But the refugees are victims of extreme ideologies, and they are trying to get to a safer place. It is not right to blame the victims of violence for the existence of violence, and doing so creates the sort of cultural divisions that often breeds violence. Any claim that the refugee situation allows bad people to fly in under the radar assumes they couldn’t find an alternate way there in the first place, when history shows they can.

10 years ago at 11:08 am

I agree with maroonandgold, it’s not economically feasible to take in all of these refugees. Think of the U.S. as a life boat, there are only so many people you can bring aboard before the boat begins to sink. There are tons of countries in turmoil, with citizens who want to come to America for a better life, for shelter, and security. There has to be a better way to help them out without putting a strain on our already struggling economy.

I don’t think we’re blaming the victims, but it does kind of seem like a reasonable response to stop letting in Syrian refugees when it was confirmed that some of the terrorists in the Paris attack came into the country as Syrian refugees. ISIS has also literally come out publicly as saying they were going to exploit the Syrian refugee crisis to cause harm, as well as stating they plan to carry out similar attacks in the U.S.

I feel for the refugees, as the majority are good people born into a horrible situation, but at the same time we could literally be inviting in potential extremists.

They couldn’t if we just shut-off immigration from the middle-east. I know we are all told that’s racist and it makes you a terrible person, but these people don’t realize the seriousness of our situation. ISIS is creating a state of global unrest. This means that we have factions who don’t like each other (communist and free world) with militaries rubbing shoulders in all the same places. We are creating a situation in which a Third World War is inevitable. I think that warrants such steps as shutting down immigration from countries who harbor terrorists that openly say they will sneak in.
