The blackout was in honor of “blacking out for cancer.”
They’ve worn it a lot more recently, but black is not a new color by any means here…Especially this season. Purple, black, and white are our colors, after all.
Blacking out for cancer is acceptable, but all TCU traditionally (SWC) was purple and white. The worst offender of this black uniform craze is the Eagles. Always green and white, then some douche decided they need a black uniform to be cool.
TCU has the most freshman starters of any school in the nation and lost their starting QB. I also doubt whatever school you go to has had as much success as them the past 5 years.
