Charles Martel is indeed FaF, but note that he was born in modern day belgium and existed well before there was any nation defined as “French.” The ‘French’ nation didn’t really begin to develop until the end of the 10th century when the Carolingians fell and that GDI Hugh Capet took over.
Before Ya’ll call me a GDI for knowing this crap: I’m a history major with a medieval studies concentration because my family is rich enough that I can dick around with a useless degree and still make it after school.
There’s some pretty good ones both before and after that. And having seen the Legion in action, they’re still pretty tough. It’s the government that are pussies & even more so their population. Not that the liberal GDIs in America are all that better sometimes.
I don’t know about you, but Napoleon was pretty fucking badass. He crowned himself, which is FaF in my book.

14 years ago at 4:57 pmNapoleon, Charlemagne.
14 years ago at 5:14 pmCharles Martel. Stopped the Muslim invasion of Europe in the 8th century. Nicknamed “The Hammer” which is FaF
14 years ago at 5:18 pmNapoleon was Corsican, not French. Charlemagne was Frankish, not french. Germans and French came from the Frankish, so it’s 1/2 fail, 1/2 success.

Through WWI the French were pretty tough. From then on, they’ve been a disgrace.
