Texas A&M Loses To TCU In Super Regional, Puts Out Celebratory College World Series T-Shirts Anyway

TCU beat Texas A&M 5-4 in a 16-inning game last night to advance to the College World Series, ending the Aggies’ hopes at winning its first ever College World Series.

It was a dramatic finish, one that would break the spirit of even the most hopeful Aggie:

But that soul-crushing defeat didn’t stop some Texas stores from throwing this A&M shirt on the sale rack. A few were allegedly selling it before the super regional was even over:

If they are never going to make a College World Series, then dammit, they are going to at least pretend. Reminds of a saying my grandma always said: Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Lying about athletic success is not new to A&M. In 2012, the Aggies added two new conference and national championships to its wall of honor, neither of which happened.

Needless to say, this shirt is a 10-out-of-10 on the Aggie Scale of Athletic “Achievement” Embarrassments.

Silly and unfortunate, yes. But A&M has been a fine addition to the SEC nonetheless. Gig ’em Aggies.

Texas A&M have been to 5 CWS and have a few wins in those appearances just for the record. Not that it makes the shirts any less embarrassing but at least get your facts straight.

Were you born this dumb or did something happen? Winning a game in the CWS is different than winning the CWS.

Is SteveHolt the dumbest mother fucker on this site or what? Do you just not understand how things work? The vendor makes and sends these shirts to stores no before the fact no matter what. After the team loses its up to the store manager to send them back to the vendor (Adidas in this case.) This picture looks like it was taken at Academy. So Texas A&M had no part in making or selling these shirts. Therefor you’re a fucking moron, SteveHolt.
